Friends came down for a golf trip to play Pursell. John was a great host and the home had all the essentials one would need. The home was well described and very clean. Would stay again.
We stayed for my son’s golf tournament at FarmLinks. This place provided a great option to stay that was way less than staying at Pursell and only 10 minutes away. We got to enjoy the beauty of the lake in the afternoons and the fire pit after dark. Great place to stay and would consider staying again if we are back in the area.
Loved this secluded super charming place. Was super clean had everything you need and the views are wonderful and close to pursell farms for entertainment. Nice place to hang out with our family great property
We wanted a relaxing place to stay while in town for a busy event weekend. This home was exactly what we needed. The early mornings by the lake were absolutely beautiful. We have plans to visit again just for fun.
My husband and I rented the cabin for our son’s high school graduation trip. The cabin was wonderful, clean, completely stocked with everything imaginable, peaceful, and perfect for my little family.
We played golf at Pursell Farms which was spectacular and Coosa Pines. We also visited Imerys - Gantt's Quarry Observation Point and Kymulga Grist Mill. When we weren’t golfing or sightseeing, we were relaxing on the deck, swimming, and grilling at the cabin.
I highly recommend the cabin if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was great, and we would definitely stay again.
House and property is amazing. Views are unbelievable...love...love! Owners are so wonderful. We are definitely coming back to stay at this beautiful property.
Highly recommend. So peaceful and relaxng.
Our stay was perfection! The home was immaculate and had everything we needed! The view was gorgeous and location was close enough to town to go grab a bite to eat if we wanted to. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to again!
Property was nice, clean with comfortable beds and a nice view. Unfortunately while I was there a building was being torn down and burned nearby. The burned rubber smell was too strong to allow us to be outside and construction was very loud. It’s not the property owner’s fault and I didn’t deduct for it but wanted to post for awareness that burning near the water can occur. One suggestion for the owners is to add some storage or a suitcase stand to the master bedroom. The closet is kept locked, so I had to keep my clothes in a suitcase on the floor. There are 4 brackets where you can hang some items, but it’s not sufficient for a multi-day stay.
Piney Point on Peckerwood Creek at Lay Lake in Sylacauga, Alabama (say that 3 times fast) was absolutely breathtaking.
This was a trip to bring 2 sisters together planned by their daughters. It was a halfway point for the group.
Our hosts went above and beyond to ensure that we felt right at home from the moment we arrived.
The property was stunning and very comfortable.
We are already planning our next stay!

We (John and Kay) live outside of Birmingham, Alabama on a mini farm. We LOVE the lake and how when we get here, it's always hard to leave! We bought this house brand new in 2021 and have put a lot of work in the landscaping and exterior spaces to get it to the place where it is now- and it's time to share the place with others!
Why they chose this property
Less than 30 minutes from 280 and just 10 minutes from Pursell Farms, it's close enough to civilization while also feeling rural. We've loved being on the creek instead of the main channel because boat traffic is very minimal and it's a fun, safe place to be on the water. Lots of great shade and good water to swim and fish in. Perfect to relax and get away from it all!
What makes this property unique
- Close to Pursell Farms - DISH Network - Two separate piers/docks
