About this property

The 1799 Farmhouse at the base of Pat's Peak

Have fun with the whole family at this farm that has been classically restored to it's former Colonial style glory wioth warm and comfortable touches. Pat's Peak is next door (it's 500' up to their driveway and we provide a heavy duty trolly to pull your gear). So you can maximize your time on the slopes without having to drive anywhere. Make s'mores at the fire pit outside or have a glass of wine by the fireplace (electric) inside. There are plenty of golf courses, hiking trails, lakes and rivers nearby. We are on the Currier & Ives byway so plan your leaf peeping trip now.

Wonderful!

Our party of ten included three families and we all had the best time at the Farmhouse. It's such a beautiful property and the owner has evidently dedicated so much time and attention to the furnishings and practical supplies (everything you need for cooking, tons of towels) and special touches, such as some welcome groceries, a large selection of coffees and teas, etc. that make the stay. Our large and age-varied party had plenty of room to splinter off without feeling we were on top of each other; we couldn't even hear the kids. We skied and went tubing at Pat's Peak, which is a short walk from the house. A great stay!!

Weekend in Henniker

The house was just perfect. Many rooms for our family to gather, a great kitchen, and bed for 10. The house was clean, and the kitchen well stocked. Right next to Pats Peak, and great for hiking.

History meets snow heaven

What an incredible experience, be sure to check in at this slice of heaven. The host (Anna) is incredibly responsive and whether you have a question about local attractions or the house, she’s ready, willing and able to help! The house is better than the pictures. All appliances are new and the decor of the home is something out of a magazine. You walk through history in each room from pictures to books and the ambiance is exquisite. If you’re traveling with children, this house doesn’t disappoint. From a game room with poker and chess to a “super suite” (one of the bedrooms with a sitting area) the kids always had something to do. On those nights you’re ready to bundle up, there’s a fire pit and s’mores ready to make your nights that much sweeter. The host is more than accommodating with coffee, amenities and thoughtfulness. The final touch, you’re at the base of Pats peak and get the most incredible views. Don’t miss out, this was by far our favorite VRBO!

Why they chose this property

This historic farmhouse allows guests to experience an historic farmhouse more than 200 years old but complete with modern conveniences and comfort.

What makes this property unique

The home is located next to Pat's Peak which allows you to pull your gear to the ski resort in the trolley provided and forego the driving. :)

Because this home is in a rural setting there are bugs, critters and wildlife around. We do our very best to keep the bugs out of the home but you may see lady bugs in some areas especially near windows. They are harmless but do like to be warm. There may occasionally be a spider and you may see wildlife on the property. It's best to keep away and please do not feed them.
