Ideal location

Fantastic location with terrific view of the ocean. Well furnished with a well equipped kitchen. Too bad the kitchen sink garbage disposal didn’t work, there were no wardrobe closets, & the toilet in the first bedroom kept running if the handle wasn’t giggled a few times.

Dirtiest place we've stayed on the Island

We visit Ana Maria/Long Boat Key maybe once every other year and this place was probably the most outdated and disgusting place I have stayed in. When you don't even feel like you can eat or walk around in the place... I was so embarrassed to have VRBO'd the place for our friends staying with us. Also... don't think you have access to any bicycles... they tell you that's NOT what this new owner offers even tho it's on the website. And the pull out couch is NOT in a bedroom... it's out where everybody hangs out... so don't plan on sleeping in. And they don't tell you but the master bedroom is straight thru the hallway of the other bedroom. So you feel like you have zero privacy in any of the rooms. DON'T RECOMMEND!!!

Short stay was average

We stayed at The Beach for just 3 days. It worked out fine there were a few things that were disappointing. The main thing was the sleeper sofa was horrible. My 21 year old son had to sleep horizontally on the bed, it did not even lay flat. I would not consider it sleepable. A couple of other things were moldy shower curtain in one bathroom and the other bathroom curtain rod was broken. There was only 1 extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. There were 8 of us that stayed there. Also when we were checking out we had to empty garbages, strip the beds, load the dishwasher etc. I am sure there are cleaning fees included in our payment so why did we have to do any cleaning? The great things were the location - right on the beach and close to everything we needed on Longboat Key.

Cold weather challenges

We had a drastic cold weather snap. It was hard to regulate the temperature. Having a 18 month old and a 3 year old in this situation was stressful. I would recommend adult or older children rental for this property if weather is an issue.

Great location!

Set up of the 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms seemed a bit odd at first but each space had its own entry making it very unique. We saw dolphins every morning, afternoon, and evening with the beach literally just beyond the pool area. I would recommend and stay again.

We were so pleased with the gulf front unit we rented. Beautiful views of the water. 3 bedrooms, 3 baths accommodated us perfectly. Sue in the office greeted us with a warm smile every time we saw her. We’ll be back again!

Reviewer Comments: I rented the 3 bedroom 3 bath lockout Unit 221S (220 is the 3rd bedroom lockout, 221 is the 2 bedroom)for 2 nights $1800 thru VRBO, paid an extra $170 fee for booking through them instead of RVA property management which is no feeAlso paid $175 cleaning feeTotal unit is not being cleaned well for $175, but nothing that would make it unbearable The biggest issue was the lockout unit 220, as pictured shows a balcony on RVA’s website and VRBO, there is not a balcony only 3 windows facing street and parking lotThey took 2 pictures of the 2 bedroom balcony and posted it as if it went with the lockoutThe lockout unit 220 is definitely in need of updating, especially the bathroom, moldy shower curtain and liner, holes in the walls, rusty toilet paper holder, etc...NO CABLE IN 220, STREAMING ONLY AND YOU NEED TO USE YOUR OWN SIGN INSSue the office attendant on the property was greatClinton manger RVA very rude and unprofessional Too bad they lost Jill, she was amazing I complained about the no balcony and no cable and RVA didn’t care that the unit was misrepresented I never expect perfect when traveling which I do plenty of, but at that price, I certainly was not expecting less than amazing

This was our second year staying here because we absolutely loved this clean, well located, large rental! Our family has young children and a baby. We were just steps away from the beach so it was so easy to take the children back for naps or to grab anything we left. The rental was clean and large enough for us to be together or to get away from each other when needed. Beautiful views from our living room. The balcony was the best photo spot!
