About this property

Creekside cabin

We can't wait to welcome you to our cozy two bedroom cabin located directly on the Middle St. Vrain for your quintessential Colorado get-away.

We've preserved what is unique about this 100 year old cabin, while giving it modern updates to ensure your mountain adventure is still comfortable. A perfect spot to launch from for many Colorado adventures, or to retreat from the hubub of modern life and feel close to nature.

Cook breakfast in our full equipped kitchen, then plan your day's adventures with organic coffee (provided) while listening to the creek on the porch swing on our screened porch. Visit the most beautiful places in Colorado just miles away, or spend the day reading and relaxing in our giant yard that stretches along the river, or snuggled with a book under a blanket with your favorite tunes on our Bose sound system.

The cabin is 12 miles outside of Lyons, home of delightful restaurants (Oscar Blues, Moxie Bread, and Mojo Taqueria are three faves), and musical venue Planet Bluegrass, host to Lyons Folks Festival, among many other fantastic musical events. 7 miles from Allenspark, with charming mountain town restaurants and a grocery store for last minute needs. 24 miles from Rocky Mountain National Park, home of Colorado's most impressive mountain hikes and other adventures. Other mountain towns (Lyons, Jamestown, Allenspark, and Ward) are just short drives off the Peak to Peak highway, which is just four miles away.

You'll have the best of Colorado at your doorstep!

This wonderfully nostalgic log cabin sits on the banks of a babbling creek in the Rockies and while historic in charm, has modern conveniences you might need. Hosts are terrific and accommodating! Can’t wait to return!

Perfect getaway

The cabin was a lovely, 1920s rustic with modern comforts. Quiet, restful location next to the soothing white noise of a mountain stream, yet near enough to attractions east (Front Range cities) and west (Rocky Mountain National Park) to be a great home base for our family vacation.

Incredible view

We really enjoyed our stay! Slept to the sound of the river! It really is right outside the back door! The drive to the cabin is awesome?

Graduation Hiking Trip

The cabin was so cute and had everything that we needed! It was clean, rustic, and felt like we were staying in a fairytale, especially next to the river. We would definitely stay again. The communication was wonderful.

Dream trip

Absolutely loved the cabin, it's so cool! Having the river right there is so nice and peaceful. My brother and I came out from MA to check out RMNP. Really good location in terms of distance from the airport and to the park. Loved everything about it! Thanks Amanda for making everything so seemless!

Estes Getaway

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cabin in the woods. We sat out on the screened porch a ton and out on the benches by the river. We will be back!

4 night stay in October

Loved the place overall. Easy check in/out process. Beautiful location. I put four stars for cleanliness because there were some flies that kept getting inside and some spider webs/spiders, but it’s a cabin in the woods so we didn’t expect anything different. Overall we loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Creek-side Gem

Perfect creek-side gem between Lyons & Estes Park. Gracious hosts who share their cabin with nature nerds like me! Tucked nicely in a Ponderosa Pine canyon with temps in the 70's. Easy access to RMNP up the canyon road with spectacular views. 10/10

Perfect location

The Cabin was just as described and more! Every morning of our stay my husband and I sat out on the porch by the creek drinking coffee while our son, 7, read his book on the comfy sofa inside. Location is super close to RMNP and after long hikes it was nice to come back to the cabin, sit out side with a glass of wine while my husband made dinner. The host was super prompt answering all our questions. Would definitely recommend staying here and 100% would stay again.
