Perfect for Us!

This property was absolutely perfect. I am a single mom of two small kids and this was the location of our first big vacation so my kids could see the ocean for the first time. We took a road trip from St. Louis, MO and drove the 12 hours to get to the condo. The location was perfect as it was so close to the beach that I didn't have to worry about lugging absolutely everything we might need to go to the beach because we were close enough that a quick jaunt would take us right back to the condo. Doing this trip as the solo adult was daunting, but this was such a help that it ended up being a highlight. Being close to everything, with just about everything we needed in walking distance, was fantastic. The condo itself had everything we needed and more. My kids loved the bunk bed and I greatly enjoyed the king size bed! We definitely would like to return in the future!

Location is everything!

This condo has a great location. Literally steps from the beach (as close as you can get without paying ON THE BEACH prices). It is also surrounded by food and a convenience store in case you forgot anything. Great place to stay.

Best Value on 30A

This is the 5th time we’ve stayed at Beachwood Villas, the first time in this unit. Location within the property was perfect- very short walk to the beach or pool. The 1 bedroom unit worked great for our little family of 4. It has a few nice extras like a full length mirror, lots of hooks/bars to hang wet towels and swimsuits, and a lot of extra beach stuff (chairs, floats, etc.) available to use. We were hoping to take advantage of the pull out couch, because my daughter was scared of how high the top bunk was, but we were told that wasn’t allowed, so we had to just make a switch with sleeping arrangements. The kitchen is stocked pretty well, but we found the basic frying pan isn’t in the best shape and we never found a colander or glass measuring cup. Overall, a great value and location and we would definitely consider staying here again!

Fantastic!

This was a very nice place to stay! The accommodations were very clean and VERY comfortable. There were plenty of dishes, pillows and towels. Plan to buy your own cooking spray/oil and coffee grounds. I'd recommend bringing your own TP to replace the thin stuff. 1st-floor unit; if you’re bothered by noisy feet above, beware. At the time of our stay there was a good-sized umbrella (it’s missing the extension pole so it’s very short), a heavy-duty beach chair, two lightweight beach chairs along with a couple of tubes and some misc. sand toys for kids. If you want a bike, I highly recommend BUTTERFLY BIKE & KAYAK which is about a block away. Book online and your bike(s) will be delivered very quickly and then they will pick up when your rental is over, for free. No hassle. The walk to the beach is relatively short. It’s about 100 yards to cross the street to a footbridge to the beach. The footbridge is about 150 yards long to the beach where you can set up camp. At the time of our visit, this area of the public beach was very crowded. *Tip: At the bottom of the stairs, turn left and walk east about 200 yards, crossing over “private” sections of the beach and we found very open areas to set up camp. We had open views of the water with nobody in front of us three days in a row. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and a well-stocked convenience store across the street. The host was a great communicator and very helpful! 100% recommend this rental!

Location, Location, Location!

Traveling for a long weekend with my dear friend who has recently battled breast cancer. We really just wanted a low maintenance, relaxing trip (sans kids). This condo was perfect! I’m not sure a better value exists on 30A. We parked the car and didn’t have to get back in it until it was time to leave! You can walk/bike to so much! And a gas station is right beside the property and this is so convenient. We didn’t even have to step foot in a grocery store…and this in and of itself was a vacation for two working mamas! The condo was clean and well appointed. The only two minor negative comments are —shower/bath seemed to have two temps—cold or HOT. And the door to the bedroom has trouble staying closed. These minor issues didn’t effect the quality of our stay in the slightest. One thing that does warrant mentioning was getting the check-in code was not timely. I was told I would be receiving a check-in instruction email at 8am cst. Did not. Messaged to see if I could check in early and received a standard email about how early check ins were $25 an hour and I would be let know when/if the condo was cleaned and available. I wasn’t. And I had to email the property manager several times before receiving a check-in code (received at 3:52pm for a 4pm check-in). Traveling can be stressful enough, a check-in code would be appreciated with a little more heads up. Overall our stay was just what the doctor ordered! Would stay again!
