Perfect spot

We really enjoyed our time, myDaughter loved the stairs! We played in the backyard because there was so much snow and it then went to alpine on Sunday morning:) It was warm cozy, and had everything we needed couch was uncomfortable it had a spring poking up but other than that it was great!

Memorial Weekend Stay

Cabin staff were responsive. The cabin itself was ok. Location was great, could use more cleaning attention as the cabin was not super clean - doesn't seem like its been deep cleaned in several year and missing half the things needed to cook. I would consider this a guys hunting cabin feel vs. a comfy family place.

Disappointing and dirty

I'm never one to complain. However, the price of this property doesn't match up to what it offers. There were hairs all over the bathroom. The heater looks like it hasn't been wiped down ever. The dust bunnies all over the walls and curtains, lights- everywhere. The extra blankets in the closets were worn and tattered with holes in them. The electric blanket had wires sticking out of it. The bathroom towels were worn. The carpet in the living room is ripped in multiple places and actually had crumbs pressed into it- very dirty. The couch actually gave my son a bruise on his bum because he plopped down on it and it has hard wood or metal in it? Not a comfortable couch at all! The coffee machine sputters and barely works. There is no wine opener. The amenities are little to none. The drawers in the fridge are cracked and broken. It was questionable if the blankets on the beds were clean. I wouldn't recommend this property.

An Autumn retreat.

We found the house easily but VRBO does not mention that you will not receive check-in information. Do not go directly to the house! You must first go to "Cool Cabins", the property management company to check-in and receive the entry code. Cool Cabins is not close to the house so plan ahead! Once that was sorted out we drove back to the house. It was about as clean as a person could get it but with the high ceilings and wood walls the amount of spider webs was impressive. The house is in good working order but extremely dated. The floors are in bad shape and covered with multiple K-Mart style floor rugs. The cookware is very old. The whole place reminded me of the early 80s. The furniture, blankets, towels, pillows, EVERYTHING needs an upgrade. The wood chairs in the back yard are not usable. The plastic chairs on the front porch are old and brittle. There is not a door directly to the backyard. There is a side door and then you go through a gate to the backyard. Nevertheless, it was the perfect location for hiking, biking, and exploring Big Bear. The neighborhood is very quiet. And while everything was outdated, it all worked perfectly fine. I do recommend bringing your own towels unless you enjoy an exfoliation treatment while drying off. The master bedroom is next to the bathroom and the bed is decent. The upstairs loft is spacious and has a nice little sitting area that overlooks the main living room and kitchen. The heater is amazing and kept the entire house cozy. Plenty of hot water. Good water pressure. Overall it was perfectly fine while also totally unimpressive. You get what you pay for and this house was spot on for the price.

Great getaway

The property was nice and had what we needed. Door did not let directly out to the backyard, but to the side of house. Well trained dogs will be fine or leash to get them to the fence gate. Property was clean and perfect location. Would stay here again!

Great Location

We loved the Moonridge Hideaway due to it’s location for Snow Summit. It was perfect for our family of 4, and the pup had a great time running in the yard. It was comfortable and cozy. Will definitely look to book this cabin again soon!

Cozy Cabin for Family Trip

We spent our Thanksgiving break in this cabin and it was amazing! The kitchen is well-equipped and the space was clean and neat. The location is a short drive from the main village and it is a comfortable walk. I would recommend this place to future guests!

Good enough

We did not expect anything special, and the cabin was cute and quaint, and the location is great. The upstairs loft bed was on a broken bed frame, so it was heavily slanted, luckily however we did not need it. The main King bed on first look seemed ok But then we also saw some slanting, and realized that the two single box springs under the king mattress were different sizes, and this one half of the bed was lower than the other. We were sleeping with our 5 month old baby in the middle and he kept rolling to one side. We did not sleep well at all the whole trip. I find it consistent with many rentals that the quality of the mattresses is so bad, and as someone who rents vacation rentals all the time, I find that the mattress is the most important thing to get right. It seems that these cabin owners just get 2nd hand worst cheapest things they can get and piece it all randomly together. Also, the hot water was not enough to fill the bath, only short showers were possible.

Comfortable Cabin for Small Family

Though not a lot of frills, the cabin was comfortable and clean. Main bedroom and bathroom have older style wall heaters and had heating blankets that took chill off the bed. Plenty of space for a small family. If bringing a pet, back yard though fenced in is not usable in the winter unless you want to shovel a lot of snow.

Cute cabin with a loft!

We really enjoyed the cabin. We were so happy we could bring our dogs too. We appreciated the fenced in backyard, most cabins I looked at didn't have that. The cabin didn't have a funny dog smell either. We loved the loft and so did out 3 teens! It's a smaller cabin but we all had enough room. Nice having a fire place too. Only a couple of cons, the hot water runs out too quickly and dinning area felt a little squished. That being said, we would go there again for sure!

Comfortable stay, cozy but Functional

Had a great stay here! Staff at cool cabins was friendly, and since the cabin was available; allowed us to check in early. Cabin is cozy but comfortable for a family of 5. Has a small functional kitchenette and all the necessary pots, pans, cups, silverware, etc. Overall great experience for a weekend in big bear. I would definitely stay here again.

Outdated cabin

Would never stay at this particular cabin again. But it was only for one night so it was fine with my yorkie. It is very outdated, no dishwasher, torn rugs on the floor. No upgrades and did not feel particularly comfortable. Excellent customer service though with the property management group.
