We loved our stay; the house is beautifully appointed and clearly made with love--and the view is gorgeous. The hosts thought of absolutely everything--including games, crafts materials, books and puzzles. Even our dog felt the love, with bowls and a basket of chew toys set out for him to explore. The upstairs loft is a perfect hideaway for kids, and the living room was a great space to relax, play games and read by the fire place. This place is really special.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property Memorial Weekend. The home has everything you need and decorated so fun. The outside property was perfect for enjoying the land and water. Made beautiful memories with our family. Can't wait to go back. Thank you so much.
This was one no the best vacation rental I’ve ever stayed at. This cabin was so clean and well stocked everything we. Needed was here. Enjoyed doing a little fishing and relaxing it was so peaceful The fact that we could bring our dog was a bonus. My wife didn’t want to leave this morning she loved all the decorations we probably will want to come back next season same time the weather was perfect. Plenty of good restaurants in area I would recommend this cabin to anyone who would enjoy the area.
We had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving weekend. We appreciated the owner's thoughtfulness evidenced throughout the cabin from the dog toys and bowls to the children’s games and books. Our hot cocoa welcome gift was a nice surprise on the chilly Thanksgiving weekend! We enjoyed that in front of the cozy gas fireplace. Highly recommended.
The home was clean and very well maintained. It was decorated for the season and all the little touches were so thoughtful. The wood work was amazing. We loved that the drawers etc were labeled to easily find items. The hosts were great and had all amenities available. The view was great. Some in our party used the canoe for early morning paddles around long pond. We highly recommend the home and the hosts. We will definitely be back. We give it a 12 out of 10 rating (12/10).

Hello, we are the Clarks. We are so excited to be able to share our cabin with you. We're both retired school teachers and have always wanted to have a little get away on the water. After four years of traveling back and forth from our home in Canandaigua, New York to work on the cabin in New Hampshire, it's finally done. Our daughter and her family live up this way, which is how we ended up buying the property and building in Barrington, NH. With three grown children living in three different states, and eight grandchildren, we are often traveling to visit them, so our cabin sits empty and we want to share it with others. Our hope is that you and your families, including your dog family members will find it to be a relaxing, fun and enjoyable experience. The cabin is only about thirty minutes to the ocean, so you can have the best of both worlds. We love to kayak and canoe, so we are happy to share our kayaks and water toys with our guests. If you enjoy hiking and fishing, like us, you'll find there are many lakes and trails to check out. Our children really enjoy the ski areas in the outlying areas and the two of us enjoy cross-country skiing on the lake and ice fishing. You can even watch your tip-up flags from the front window, or have a campfire near the water and enjoy a hot cocoa. We certainly hope you'll enjoy this all season cabin as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
While we have named our rental property a cabin, it's really a very roomy and well-equipped home. We have tried to provide it with all the things a family would need which makes it easier to travel, not worrying about towels, linens, dishes, and other household items. One of the things we really enjoy about this property is that it is off the beaten path and quite private. The small sandy beach is a big hit with our young grandchildren since it is shallow and sandy, and there are plenty of little fish to catch which is so exciting for the little ones. We also enjoy the location since we are close to the ocean, many hiking trails, and love taking a day trip to Kittery, Maine for a fun day of shopping and sampling the delicious seafood.
What makes this property unique
One of the many benefits of our cabin is that it is part of a Private Home Owners Association, so there is little traffic on the road and only the people who own property or have guests staying at their homes have access to the boat launches and small beaches around the lake. The lake is generally quiet and peaceful with limited boat traffic. You would be more apt to see canoes and kayaks, rather than motor boats.
