We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and cozy with a well stocked kitchen. Whenever we had questions, the owner was very nice and quick to respond. We would definitely stay there again!
The house is great and very clean. We stayed for my daughter’s graduation. The only recommendation I have are some black out curtains would be nice in the back bedrooms where the outside light shines in. The blinds in the windows aren’t enough to block out the light.
Property is well maintained and easily accessible from JMU/Harrisonburg. Property has everything necessary for a safe and comfortable getaway.
Beautiful pasture and mountain views.
Property owner was friendly, responsive, and made us feel welcomed.
We’ll visit again!
We stayed here for a Game Day weekend at JMU. It’s an easy 15 minute drive into Harrisonburg. The house is clean and comfortable in a quiet field with great views of the mountains. The only item to note is that the water is high in sulfur so bring your own water if this is distasteful for you. We will stay here again for our trips up to see our daughter in the years to come.
The home is very clean and has everything you need to stay in, but is also minutes away from dining. The pictures represent the tucked away nature of the property nicely.
Surrounding by mountain ranges in all directions, enjoyed this peaceful location. The views are incredible especially with the leaves changing. Hosts went above and beyond to ensure our stay was awesome.
From the views of the mountains & cleanliness of the house, everything was perfect. The host, John, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Can’t say enough great things about this place!
What can I say , everything about our trip was top notch ! From the cleanliness of the rental , the amazing view and property and friendliness of the owners . We inquired about a fire pit prior to going so we could bring our own if there was not one at the house , which there wasn’t . Not only did the John and Nancy provide a fire pit for us the day or , they had it stocked with all the s’mores ingredients and bubbles for my girls . Little touches like this really make all the difference.
We have already started looking at the calendar to see when we can come stay again .
If I could give this property 10 stars I would. The owners keep it immaculately clean and stocked. If you're looking for a more private location with some beautiful views, this is the place to be. BEWARE: if you want to be in the thick of action, this is NOT the place for you. If you love to see deer walking by the house, and roosters waking you up in the morning, then this is the place for you.
Lastly, the owners surmised we rented the house out for the JMU graduation weekend, which we did. They left a beautiful congratulatory note and JMU cupcakes for my son. We will be back!
First off a big Thank you to the host! My family planned a last minute getaway for my mothers birthday. Without many options available through the resort or other travel sites, my sister found this perfection of a property! Posted as a new listing, the property was so clean I believe it was a new build and we were the first to stay. Everything about this property is exactly what a family could wish for away from home. 5 stars all around!!! Thanks again and will be our go to for further visits.
