Great place to relax and take in the beautiful ocean views thru out the unit. The place was very clean and had all the necessary essentials ( except a hair dryer, or bathroom face towels). The staff were friendly and informative. Liked how the property is very private. I was overall very please with my stay. Highly recommend this place if you want a private beautiful vacation beach front rental..
The place is new and beautiful. Units 1 & 2 are right on the beach, and both have a ‘warm’ tub on the beachside porch. This was our first getaway trip out of Texas. We easily rented a car and moved around the area always feeling safe. This property location is quiet and feels remote with very few people on the beach. There is a supermarket within 10-15 minutes in La Libertad, where there are many local shops and good restaurants. We had a beautiful time.
Nice place, very friendly, respectful employees, everything is within a few miles, shops and restaurants, the people around are very friendly. Just a suggestion for my brother Alex, it would be nice if you picked up the trash from the beach at least in front of the property and maybe the rest of Neighbors would get involved and we would have a more beautiful beach. It would also be nice if you could have chairs and umbrellas in front of the property on the beach side for guests.
This was my 8th trip to El Salvador and we stay somewhere different every time. The Don Julian is an excellent place to stay. It is newly renovated and done very well, the room/property are kept very clean, and the beach is beautiful. We stayed in Unit #1 which is oceanfront and the views are breathtaking. The beach almost seems private as there is very little traffic. The staff is very nice and very accommodating. I don't speak much spanish but a translating app makes it seamless. It's obvious that Alex takes pride in his resort and strives to make your stay the best possible. 10/10!

Great secluded getaway

This place is definitely beautiful, boasting modern amenities including a pool and proximity to the beach. However, it is quite secluded, far from other attractions, and if you don't have a car, transportation can be a significant challenge. I experienced multiple Uber cancellations due to the distance. Despite this, the stay itself was pleasant. The host was very accommodating, allowing me to store my bags for an extended period after checkout. I would recommend that the property management consider providing a concierge taxi service or arranging a dedicated driver to help guests navigate the remote location more easily. Overall, a nice place if you're looking for a tranquil getaway, just be prepared for potential travel difficulties.

We were looking on VRBO for a place to stay in San Diego California and came across this nice property. We payed and reserved this rental only to find out a couple hours later that it was a San Diego in another country. I contacted the property owner asking if he could offer any sort of refund only for him to respond several days later blaming me for making the mistake. I thought with the other generally positive reviews that he would’ve worked with us on this issue but he did not.
WOW!!!! This is an exquisite, brand new property just steps (12 steps to be exact) from the beach. Unit #1, where I stayed, is one of two units (out of seven) that has a wonderful hot tub. The apartment is beautifully appointed in shades of gray. From the tile in the kitchen to the bedlinens and bathroom hardware, everything is thoughtful and artfully designed. Alex is a FANTASTIC host. This is my fourth time in El Salvador. I travelled alone and felt perfectly safe at all times. I love Playa San Diego and to date it's my favorite beach. It's flat with no rocks so it's easy to take long walks. The sand is dark grey and glistens in the sun. Sometimes there are some people at sunrise and sunset, but there were times that I was the only person on the beach as far as the eye could see - in both directions. Even though the pictures look great, being here in person and experiencing the "new" El Salvador is breathtaking. Bravo Alex!!
