The location is fantastic. It is super close to Napa and the house is close to restaurants and grocery stores for the evening. The house is very cute, the backyard is big and nice to sit out there at night, and the house has all the very basic things you need. However there are some odd things and some little things that lowered my rating. The “master” bathroom does not have a door which makes it super awkward and that bathroom less usable, even as a couple sharing that room. Neither bathroom has a vent fan and the master window does not have a screen so you can not open that window or bugs fly in immediately. I rated cleanliness lower only because both bathrooms have significant mold but the house was clean. The kitchen did not have a toaster or scissors, which are pretty basic kitchen amenities. We ended up buying a toaster and leaving it for the next guest. There was also only one roll of almost empty paper towels which is not enough to clean up after yourself for an entire weekend- so bought more of that too. Also there were a lot of ants- which is not unusual for the location, time of year, or warm weather. But given that you would think they would have ant traps already set up or available to accommodate for that. In the one bathroom the hand soap was very clearly watered down.
All that being said- I would recommend the place as long as you know what to expect. It is a good deal given how expensive the area is and how close the location is to everything.

Just Mediocre
5 of us gals stayed here for wine tours. There really weren't any "highlights" of this place, it was just "ok".
Some of the negatives were that this was the least "homey" place I've stayed. It felt cold and empty. The kitchen has NOTHING. Crappy pans, no cookie sheet, no pizza cutter, no toaster. Not even HOT PADS. We did almost no cooking, other than a little stuff for breakfast or snacks but it was the barest place i've ever stayed.
One of the comforters was dirty....and i mean gross!! It could only be compared to poop that was on there. Other than that though the place again, was "ok" clean. The floors, carpeting etc had a slight dirty feel to them so it kind of felt grimy.
A big complaint is the seating. If you sleep 6, you should be able to seat 6 somehwere in the house. The dining room could EASILY hold a rectangle table with 6 chairs. The living room has 1 sofa yet a huge open are for either 2 more chairs or a loveseat. In order for the 5 of us to socialize, we had to bring furniture in from outside and move kitchen chairs around. Seemed kind of silly since the space exists.
No a/c but the listing says that. One reallllly good fan and a couple so-so fans.
We came to visit family in Napa as this location and house was ideal for our family. It had all the retail amenities that made our stay that much more pleasant. Great experience and would recommend to anyone visiting the Napa area.
Thank you so much for accommodating housing for our crew at your property for the week! They enjoyed their time spent at the house.

American Canyon rental
House was clean. There was a problem with a drain, but figured out that the stopper was not working quite right so I just removed the stopper. Internet was out for more than 12 hours during a 3 day stay. Immediately reported problem to property owner, but he did not seem to do anything to restore service. Eventually, internet came back. The lock box with the key is flaky, it takes some work to get or return the key.
This was a great place! Not 5 star but definitely 3-4 star. The neighborhood is located close to Napa and Sonoma with an easy drive to both. The home had everything we needed for cooking. The showers were great. The beds were a bit hard for us and no air conditioning but we were very comfortable overall. I would stay here again.

The key did not open with the PIN code I was given, so I called Vrbo Japan.
There were not a mixing machine, plates, bowls, cutting boards, etc., and there was no sign of cooking.
There were two showers, one of which did not have hot water.
Considering how expensive this area is, I think it was an affordable way to do it. The place itself was so-so. There was a sulfurous smell in the home, and it wasn't perfectly clean. The bedding also had an odor to it. Past that though, it was a decent accommodation.
Nice little house, needs a little work in bathroom showers but still clean and in a decent neighborhood. Only complaint is that we booked it based on having a hot tub and there wasn’t one, which was a need for me for arthritis and back issues. I wouldn’t have booked it if I knew there wasnt one. We were all looking forward to that at the end of the day, and back still isn’t the same from not having one.

Owner was bad
The property was OK. At issue was the owner. We were in town for a conference and arrived the night before the conf started. On the second night, we got back around 8:00. PG&E had a note on the door that the gas was turned off. We finally managed to reach the owner who would not do much to contact PG&E. He said that it was too late. Bottom line, we finally got a hold of PG&E to turn on the gas for heat, but there was a problem with the water heater, so no hot water. This was late, around 11 pm or so. After talking further with the owner to get a plumber to fix the water heater, he said no plumber would come out that late. We found a plumber to come out, but he could not fix the problem. By that time is was after 12 or 1:00 a.m., I don't remember how late, but we were taking care of his house and very tired.
The next morning, the owner would not come to the house to wait for a plumber and expected us to be there to let the plumber in. We had a conference that day and could not be there for a plumber to fix the water heater. He said he had too many other things to do and would not come. So - basically he was saying that either we stayed around for a plumber or not have hot water. When I objected, he said that we should leave and he would give us a refund.
Not a good way to behave to a customer. Very strange.

Clean inside, dirty outside
The house is a nice little home, perfect for a small group. I was just turned off about the place when I took a step in the backyard. There was dog poop all over the yard and cement patio. Didnt let it ruin my trip as we did not plan to be outside(it was a rainy weekend) but it was disgusting. Whoever is cleaning this property needs to do the outside as well as the inside. Inside was clean. It also does not have a spa as indicated.
It’s an upcoming neighborhood so you still have some urban feels, I.e. rooster wake-up call.
The location is ideal because it’s easy access to main highway for wineries.
So if you just need a place to lay in between your site seeing it’s ideal.
The check in process was simple, the property was well maintained and clean. The property manager was easy to reach and very accommodating. Would book again!
