About this property
Bring the Pets 3 bed/1.5 bath Close to Everything
Bring the family and pets and vacation at a loved 1924 throwback home positioned at the base of Missionary Ridge with original 50's wallpaper, deep, comfy bathtub, and a great sittin' porch. 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, large fenced yard with plenty of parking. Security cameras for vehicles parked streetside.
Pets are welcome at no extra charge.
Two minutes to I 24, just a few more to I-75 and 27.
The space
We strive for delightful, stress-free stays. Check out is as easy as placing towels in the tub and clean up after pets. The Dodds is perfect for a family vacation with an extra-large fenced yard for the dog and kids that's close to downtown, I-75, 24, and 27. Wonderful view of downtown with woods across the street.
Our location is perfect for those looking to stay in Chattanooga as a half-way overnight stop; just a few blocks away from I-24 which is an I-27 to I-75 connector.
The stocked kitchen makes cooking easy, great wicker furnitured front porch, extra lot for horseshoes and grilling. There are tons of board games and vintage toys for the kids. But wait, there's more! There's a Pirate bedroom with lots of treasures and souvenirs for the little buccaneers. There's also a low futon for the toddlers to play or sleep on without falling off the bed. It's hard to get out of bed if you're staying in the " green bedroom". Birds are usually on the feeder seen from the bed.
Mr. Dodds installed all of the wallpaper throughout the house in the early 50s and the flooring in the kitchen. You can tell where Mrs. Dodds sat at the table, all the color is worn off the floor where she constantly got up to get something for someone else sitting at the table.
We live 5 houses down so we're always available if you run into a problem or can't find something. We'll be the ones driving by and waving to you as you sit on the front porch drinking your morning coffee and eating the most delicious muffin you've ever put in your mouth.
Guest access
Guests are encouraged to snoop! There are lots of amenities that you might miss if you don't. Booking is for the entire home with exception of the basement.
There's ample parking including streetside for larger moving trucks or RVs with a security camera. The driveway provides parking inside the fence.
Chattanooga's first park is just a few blocks away. Renovated in 2019, it features a stocked spring-fed pond, a great view, and plenty of places to picnic. We're only 1.8 miles to our world-renown Sculpture Field. There's no admission to 32 fenced acres of art from all over the world. Our zoo is just a few blocks from there.
