About the area
Puerto Vallarta
Located near the beach, this villa is in Romantic Zone, a neighbourhood in Puerto Vallarta. Cruise Ship Terminal and Nayar Vidanta Golf are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Bay of Banderas and Playa de los Muertos. Los Arcos and Vallarta Zoo are also worth visiting. Make sure you get close to the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
Property was great! very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and then some. Property was secure. Location was great and the views from the balconies at the house were amazing. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta.
We had a great time at Tony and Marlene's place. We were a group of 2 families with little kids and it suited us perfectly. The pool and terrace were fantastic and we loved watching the whales and the sunset from the balconies. We definitely had enough space for everyone and it was very clean. The location suited us well - close enough to zona romantica to walk or a short Uber/taxi in, but a bit removed from the hustle. We loved the beaches within walking distance and appreciated the beach gear.
Great location and very beautiful spacious home. Loved the private swimming pool and enjoyed cooking many meals there. Each bedroom has a bathroom and private patio. Neighbors are quiet. Lots of privacy.
Only regret is not booking another week. Will be staying here next time!
We really enjoyed our time here. Great location, quick trip into Zona Romiantica. Driveway up is super steep, so take a deep breath. Kids loved the pool and the house was beautiful!
Beautiful house, views from every room, great communication from the house manager, Jorge. I wouldn’t consider this walking distance to the beach or Zona Romantica business area because the walk is in a busy throughway and dangerous. However, it’s a short and cheap (100 pecos) taxi ride and taxis are easy to get at the entrance of the street (Los Pinos).
We stayed a week and all 6 of us enjoyed the property. It is a beautiful home! The owner and property manager are very responsive and so nice!
The bus stop is at the base of the hill, so nice.
We walked to Los Muertos beach on day 1. A very nice walk.
We had a wonderful vacation and Casa de Mar is simply beautiful!!
Great home with a very nice kitchen. The view was pretty from all of the rooms. We could easily walk to the highway and grab a cab in no time. The pool wasn't heated so it was chilly. We like the south end of town so the location suited us nicely.
5 adults, with bedrooms spread over 2 floors each with private ensuite and balconies with ocean views - perfect!
Fabulous living area on first floor, with fully equipped kitchen for those who want to enjoy home cooking.
Private pool to relax after a morning down in old town.
About a 15 min walk into old town, and a $5 Uber ride home.
Would highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again.
We chose this house after a lot of debate and browsing, and we are so happy that we did. If anything, the pictures do not do it complete justice. We ranged in age from 7 to 54, and the house was perfect for all of us. It is close enough to town to walk down to the sites, but far enough that it is very quiet and enough removed. We were able to walk to a nearby beach and enjoy the neighborhood. The kids and adults all used the pool constantly, and it was very pleasant. Every room in the house has an amazing view and it was awesome to wake up every morning to a panoramic ocean view. Taxi rides were about 100 pesos (six dollars), and got us anywhere in the downtown area that we wanted to go. We cannot wait to stay here again.
Our stay was nothing less than perfect! We were so close to the beach, Malecon and many touristic sites! Our kiddos loved the pool! Jokes aside so did us adults enjoyed it as well. The house is well equipped for all of your needs! Parking was a huge plus for our family! They even have a kids wagon beach chairs and umbrella! The home is very clean and each room has a bathroom made each room feel like a suite! We will defiantly be coming back! I will say for the grandparents they absolutely loved the giant dinner table! :)
Overall the Villa was represented well by the photos in the listing. We had a few issues during our extended stay but Jorge was very responsive as was Bette with cleaning requests.
Our stay was for 4 weeks and I think cleaning should be provided twice per week. When there are 6 people, it is a lot of work to keep up with and we ran short on everyday supplies more than once.
Two recommendations: the pool really needs a heater for winter months. During the month of February the sun only reached half of the pool, and the water temperature never raised enough to lounge in the pool. Also, the tile roof really needs replaced as the loose tiles over the pool and patio seem dangerous if they would fall.
We had a wonderful time at Tony and Marlene’s villa for our long-overdue family gathering. The location was great - a close walk to the amenities of PV, yet tucked away in a quiet charming neighborhood.
The chef’s kitchen was set up well-appointed, and we enjoyed it for breakfast/coffee, preparing fresh seafood one night, and making margaritas. The kitchen has new appliances and all the modern amenities and gadgets you could possibly need. Another nice touch was the water filtration system, so no need to purchase bottled water.
The pool was perfect for cooling off, and our kiddo had a blast splashing around while the adults caught up. The West-facing ocean view was lovely and we were excited to return after each day's adventure. Every bedroom has an ocean view and private balcony, and the top floor has a sitting area perfect to catch the sunset.
The home itself is set up well for multiple couples or families. We stayed in a larger room with a bunk with our kiddo. Our bed was ridiculously comfortable and with the in-unit AC, we slept like babies. The other two units hosted a couple and one single, thought it would easily accommodate 3 couples and a couple of kids.
There are many good restaurants within walking distance and it’s close to a couple of less populated but pretty and shady coves all of which helped us get our steps in to offset the delicious food and drink.10/10 recommend, we plan to return annually.
Incredibly beautiful villa with ample space, comfort, amenities, and gorgeous views. Jorge was very responsive and attentive as needed, and the property was removed enough from downtown Zona Romántica to have some semblance of calm while still within a reasonable walking distance (about 1 mile to the beach).
Only three mild complaints, one of which applies to the property, two for the neighborhood.
1. While the rest of the villa was remarkably clean and tidy, the coffee maker had used moldy grounds in the basket requiring extra cleaning and sanitizing on our part.
2. There was a lot of yardwork and construction going on in the neighborhood, and the topography of the land mixed with the position of buildings seemed to channel all the noise to our villa. Some with the traffic and engine brakes on Hwy 200. It was a constant barrage of noise during the day.
3. It is a shared gate and driveway, and we had some very nosy, rude, and belligerent neighbors in #107. They constantly had issues with trying to unlock the pedestrian gate in the main gate, and each morning would scream and blame us from the driveway until someone answered. We had issues the first night as well, so just opted to use the main gate remote for entry. They seemed unaware that a multitude of groundskeepers, technicians, and maintenance professionals entered the property throughout the day. After 5 days of this rude behavior, they stopped after I reiterated the above, and threatened to involve authorities.
