We stayed here Easter weekend, and it was amazing, the beach cabin was clean, neat and perfect for a couple or a small family.
The views, wow!
This beach cabin is in the perfect location, right on the water, and close to the nature preserve, if you are in to walking or hiking.
Tip - wake up early to catch the sunrise over the ocean!
Wonderful place! It was perfect for my blind pup. For those with sight, the views are astounding. Very quiet neighborhood. My partner and I loved our stay here and hope to be back this summer.
We had a great weekend getaway here! Close to home but felt like an escape. The cabin is adorable and cozy. Beachfront in a quiet little neighborhood. There is a wonderful little park up the hill, Barnum trails. Awesome views, nice trails, our dogs loved it! Everything you could need is just a short 5-10 minute drive away. Highly recommend if you just want a quiet spot to unwind. Fireplace is super cozy.
We woke up early to the most beautiful sunrise! We were lucky enough for a clear, blue sky day. Perfect start to a perfect day. You have such a beautiful location. We were able to walk the beach with our old dog! She was in heaven too. Thanks for allowing her. The cabin is quaint and warm and inviting. We truly appreciate people like you sharing this with us!! It is perfect.
Stayed with my senior dog. Great place for short walks, lots to smell, fresh air, wildlife, and naps. The stay was for my pup. Side note - quite surprised by how dog friendly Camano Island and Stanwood is. She was welcomed into restaurants, coffee cafes, and shopping. Treated as a celebrity.
Cabin was a perfect place to relax. Appreciated that the bathroom towels weren’t white like a hotel and heavy duty. It’s the little things. Great view. Ice cubes in the freezer! Comfy deck to read or daydream. Fun place to count the cranes or the local bunnies.
We arrived and were quickly met with the property manager who lived a few houses down as he heard we had several dogs with us. We made a mistake when booking and didn't see the pet policy so we were asked to leave. There was no drama and it was totally our fault. The owner was extremely kind and offered a refund although it was our mistake and he didn't have to do that. I hope we can stay at this adorable property another time sans dogs!!
The weather was wild, but the cabin was calm and cozy
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was super tidy and cozy while the weather outside was mostly stormy and gray. We especially enjoyed having a propane fireplace and the location on the water could not have been more perfect.
Our only small disappointment was the dining room table - it was barely large enough to accomodate 2 people. So dining together or playing a game around the table was not possible. We made due with the coffee table, and if the weather had cooperated the outdoor picnic table would have fit the bill perfectly.
Some of our favorite things: Our 10 year old really loved the small bedroom. The living room furniture was inviting and comfortable. We were pleased to see the kitchen was stocked with Camano Island Coffee (our favorite) and good sharp knives (which we have found to be surprisingly rare in VRBOs). Having the nice BBQ under cover was also a good thing.
My partner, pup, and I had a great visit to Kevin & Stephanie’s cabin on host’s cabin on Lona Beach. We had blustery April weather to walk the beach, watch the waves, and admire the kite boarders. The Iverson Trail Preserve (down the road ~ ½ mile) provides a great place to get out of the wind and listen to birds (or walk more beach 😊). After we were all worn out, we settled into the cabin on comfy couches in front of a lovely fireplace (gas) for way too much eating and just the right amount of drinking.
The beach cabin is the real thing – it’s humble, but has everything that is needed to hang out, relax, and cook & eat well. There are very thoughtful touches throughout the cabin and the kitchen is well-stocked - just like I would want if this was my place. Having a covered porch to BBQ was appreciated in the weather.
The welcome wine bag was delight – and the cupboards were stocked with the wine glasses to enjoy it! Bring your water / walking shoes. Four thumbs and four paws up!
