The location was okay and central to where we were wanting to stay. Merlina was terrific to work with. The cottage is in need of some serious LOVE. The smell was absolutely stagnant when we arrived and we were unable to open any windows. :-( The home is old and outdated, the kitchen has old appliances, the microwave door is broken, the wooden blinds have MANY that are broken so when you open them they fall. The bathroom drain was super slow and the handle on the master toilet was broken so you had to "jiggle" it to stop running. The fenced in yard was nice EXCEPT there was junk everywhere and needs some TLC. A quiet neighborhood (which we enjoyed). After we purchased some candles and a fan we were able to get the smell down so we could actually enjoy our second(final) night. I would encourage the listing to be updated.
Everything was great here, an older home, but beautiful. The house was huge and had many older elements that made it charming. The rooms were tastefully designed and all the cabinets were fully stocked. We had a family get together here and it was the perfect location for our little get together. On top of that there was a power outage (someone hit a transformer) and the host was on the phone within minutes helping me locate the flashlights and emergency candles. Definitely will rent again!
Beautiful neighborhood. One minute from I-40. Large fenced in grassy yard for pets. Everything you need. Minor problem with water in shower going from hot to cold. Kitchen appliances work fine but are old. Large living room and master bedroom. Overall a great stay.

Important Info
On my listing it showed I was paying for all four bedrooms, but somewhere else on it showed that the basement bedroom charged more per night. Didn’t find that out until I checked in and the basement bedroom had a digital lock on it . The house had a lot of closets that were not clean the outlet by the stove was hanging off the wall . The kitchen had a really outdated stove the house squeaked of an older wooden floor. It was a big house . The first floor had the master bedroom . So all guest had to use that bathroom in master bedroom. That bathroom didn’t have a lock . Heading upstairs to the other two bedrooms we had access to had a very narrow tight climb up . There was a restroom up there with a lock . Besides that the property owners did communicate great when I had questions
We enjoyed our stay in this historical house in Amarillo. Everything about this house is charm and to years past and decor. I liked it and hope this house can make improvements in the ground floor level. The second floor is really well done, but me and the wife had no need for the rooms on the second floor. We enjoyed our three nights at the house on Crockett Street.
Clean comfy little cottage in Amarillo. It was centrally located and made it easy for us to get back and forth from the fairgrounds for our event. I’m not sure what year the home was built, but it is an older home and it has wood flooring mostly thru out. If you are looking for a new, “modern” home this is not the one for you. If you enjoy the comfort/ architecture of an older home this one will suit you fine! House was clean and comfy. There is one bathroom located on the main level in the master bedroom, as is a living, dining, office, and kitchen. The master has a comfy soft bed, with a little sitting room/vanity and a walk in closet. Upstairs has 2 queen bedrooms, and a futon with a small bathroom. Beds upstairs were more firm. We also used the basement. There was a little water by the stairs after a rain (Not sure if the rain was the cause, but reported it to the owner). All in all, it was a clean comfy house, and we had a great stay. Everything was in good working order, even if it was a little older. We would definitely stay again!
Checking in and out went smoothly. Communication was easy. The house was very clean, well equipped and decorated nicely. We stayed two nights and rode our ATVs for a day at a nearby park.
The layout of this house is great for family or other gatherings. It is charming! The appliances are outdated except for the Keurig but overall it worked for our group. Nice deck in the large backyard would be great in warm weather. It was nearly perfect for our family gathering.
