ROACH INFESTATION-STAY AWAY FROM HERE

Upon walking in my first day I saw 5-6 bugs. Never having seen roaches before and knowing there wasn’t any recent previous guest, I tried to not let it bother me and assumed them to be some kind of house bug. Not even 24 hours in I had seen almost 2 dozen. Terrified, I called the host Maria. She quite literally yelled at me accusing me of reporting her roach issue to the app.After providing proof of roaches and listening to her defensive rant about never having any issue before, she promised me the proper procedure would taken to exterminate the roaches. I was told to stay out of the house for 6 hours and that they’d be dead upon returning back. When I returned I could see dead cockroaches in many parts. I laid down in bed with piece of mind that the issue had been resolved. Until I turned over and saw some crawling between the sheets of my bed. And more around the bedroom, including a 3inch one.Just to be clear, no professional was ever hired. Maria had her sons buy products and attempt to exterminate the cockroaches themselves. Maria took a cheap route and to no surprise it was ineffective. The entire time Maria was rude, unprofessional, and incredibly argumentative. Even called me while I was flying out to attempt to argue? Incredibly ridiculousOther issues: vanity chair collapsed underneath me cutting my ankle with screws sticking out-because host had husband try to fix instead of buying new one.Stay here if you like roaches and being harassed by your host!!

Fully-equipped apartment for New Orleans stay

This was a comfortable duplex for a New Orleans stay. The host obviously cares about you having a good experience and has well-stocked the apartment trying to anticipate your needs. The location was convenient for getting downtown. Thanks!

NOLA bestie trip

This property is very nice, clean and cozy. The location is conveniently located a short drive from downtown and the Sydney and Walda sculpture garden. Maria was a attentive host and made sure we had everything we needed. I would book this property again the next time I visit NOLA!

Comfy and Very Clean Duplex in New Orleans

This duplex was in an older, very quiet neighborhood which was perfect for our stay for the Nola Jazz Fest weekend plans. The place was superbly clean in every room with a very comfortable queen bed, nice TV's in both the living and bedroom areas and a great little kitchen with plenty of dishes and pots/pans to utilize if needed. The coffee on hand and small snacks were a very nice, thoughtful touch as well! Highly recommend this place which is fairly convenient to the grocery store on foot for a nice walk or to the Quarter or festival grounds via an Uber. Thanks to the Hosts for a wonderful stay!
