Breck stay
When we arrived at the property, the hot tub cover was off and spewing water on the deck and sliding glass doors. The spewing was a result of the water level being too low. I imagine the cover had been off for some time. We loved the location, the garage and the size of the rooms. What was disappointing was the lack of towels for the hot tub (we had just enough for showering which meant we were doing laundry) and no hand towels in the entire unit. The dishwasher was not cleaning the dishes even though we could tell it was relatively new and a great brand (we have a Bosch). Our impression was that the unit is one of many and the extra touches did not matter. We did enjoy the family time and as mentioned, the size of the unit was nice for all six of us.

Property was great and we had a blast being so close to downtown. I would definitely stay again! Hot tub was cold, which is the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5.

Not worth the price
They only positive part was our check-in and check-out experience with the property management company and the location to Main St. We've stayed in Breck in a few other locations and this was the worst for price. The doors leading to the hot tub don't lock and are hard to open. There is no furniture on the back deck so you can't sit outside which is a bummer. The 3 bedrooms do have their own bathroom for each which is a plus but the furniture is outdated/falling apart and crammed in each of the rooms. The furniture in the living room is falling apart. The pots and pans have seen better days. No spatula or hot pads. Dissapointed for what we paid and what we got. This place needs some TLC.

Perfect location, not a great property
The location of this property is perfect. You can walk everywhere. We've stayed in two other units in this particular complex, and this one doesn't compare to the other two. The screen doors in the main living room and bedrooms aren't installed (they're leaning against a wall in the garage), so you can't leave the doors and windows open when it gets hot in the afternoon or you are bombarded with bees. Because of the way the house faces, it gets very hot in the afternoon on the main floor, so this was really frustrating. There were dishes that had been put away dirty before our stay. The pots and pans are peeling and in pretty bad shape. We did not have oven mits or pot holders or spatulas in the unit, which made cooking both in the oven and on the stovetop challenging. Almost every room had lightbulbs out. The top plug in several of the electrical outlets didn't work. The hot tub took a very, very long time to heat up. One of the first days we were there, we turned the temperature down early in the day for our kids to swim, and by late in the evening it still had not heated back up enough for the adults to use. It was serviced in the morning the last full day we were there, and it was still cold to the touch late in the evening. There was no other furniture on the deck, so the only way to be outside enjoying the beautiful weather was to be sitting in the hot tub. We love One Breckenridge Place, but we would not stay in this unit again.

Great location
Wonderful location and size of condo was great, but it could use some updating. Carpeting was somewhat stained, and a lot of the cabinets were a little beat up. The screens should have been installed on patio doors, and should have working fans. The one we tried to use moved across the floor. We brought our own then forgot it when we left. Overall, a good stay and convenient to downtown. Breckenridge is a great place to visit.

Great property, great location
Great location - Two blocks from town, one block from lift. Great main living space, plenty of room for 6 people. Kitchen appliances old but useable. Bedrooms spacious and everything clean, well maintained. No amenities in bathroom just soap. Bring lotion!!

many issues with this stay
How do I begin with this review? I will start out with the positive comments. 1. Great location 2. The management company was very responsive to issues but overly irritated with us telling them of the problems. 3. Reasonably large unit with a single unit garage 4. Let us in an hour or so early which was nice! Here are the negative components: 1. There is no quality control in this unit whatsoever. 2. We walked into the master bathroom toilet being filled with what else but crap. Management sent the maids over to correct the issue and the maids said this was a recurring know issue and probably the hot tub maintenance team causing these issues. The management did give us a $50 gift certificate for crap being left in the toilet. The time we spend cleaning everything wasn't worth $500 off . 3. We felt the need to wash all the sheets and towels because of this and all the dishes. 4. Sliding doors would not lock in two locations. The one leading to the hot tub out back was off the track. There were doors unlocked when we arrived. 5. There was paper on the floor, paperclips on floor, light bulbs out all over, sheets that didn't fit and you ended up sleeping on the bare mattress, random pieces of dishes, plates, lack of toilet paper, etc.....on and on. 6. There were no shades in the master bedroom windows at the top of the wall and thus light came in at 6AM and you could not sleep. 7. You could not eat at the dining table unless you wore sun screen and sun glasses unless it was after sunset (comment made by one of the couples) Windows were not covered at the top and the sun directly hit that table and all the sitting areas in the living area. 8. Master living room TV was maybe 30 inches and the TVs in the lower bedroom were probably 15 or more years old. 9. Temperature control varied significantly throughout the house 10. Hot tub cover was damaged . 11. The roads in the complex were not maintained properly and were completely covered in ice. I am surprised someone didn't injury themselves walking to the ski lift. 12. King bed in the basement was two twins pushed together. 13. Old sheets on all beds. I would be really upset of I was the owners of this property. This has the potential of being a great place with some attention to detail and care. Just for the record, I have never had the need to write a negative review before this incident and don't have the time to waste doing so---this in and of itself should impart the message.

Annual Breck getaway
The community is wonderfully accessible to both Main St. and the QuickSilver chair the car never had to leave the garage. The layout of this unit is spacious, making it comfortable for a group of 6 adults. I appreciate that 2 of the bedrooms are downstairs so we were not tripping over each other. The kitchen was well appointed so family dinners were easy. Our group rented 3 units and we were all beyond pleased. This is an outstanding community. We'll all be back next year.

Great place close to everything
This is my second time in this complex. This particular unit had everything we needed. The place was clean and well maintained. Water was always super hot and enough for 6 to 8 of us taking showers. Beds and couches were nice and comfy. TV was HI-DEF, maybe a bit small; but we used it more for background noise. Hot tub was nice as well, but fits 4 people max. Downtown is walk-able from here and a lift is maybe a 5 minute walk. Overall, awesome place!

Great location but a very tired property.
I'd expected to be asked the standard 'was everything OK?' when we checked out, but the lack of the question maybe hints at the likely answer .... but only guessing of course! There's a bit of a list of minor 'ailments': - a patio door handle needing longstanding repair - a loose stair rail - a REALLY old fashioned 'brick' TV - an info pack which (apart from the wifi code) was for a completely different townhouse complex - some ski undergarment from a previous renter still on the floor behind furniture - someone's used contact lens on the bathroom floor And, just a general feeling of wear. A shame to be honest because the location is great .... close to the base of Peak 9 and to the town. If we'd been staying longer, I'd have flagged the issues, as i would have done at checkout if they'd been sought!

March 2018 Stay
First of all, Great Western Lodging provided exceptional service to us during this rental. I cannot emphasize enough what a great job GWL did. This rental is ideally located. It’s at the base of Peak 9 and easy walking distance from town. We really enjoyed the location and the private hot tub. But this townhome needs some updating/upgrading. The master bed is broken and maintenance had to shim the bed with planks to level it. The TVs in the spare bedroom are old box TVs siting inside giant armoires. The armoires need to be removed - they are too big for the rooms - and the owner needs to install wall-mounted flat screen TVs. The TV in the living area is tiny and needs to be replaced with something larger. The living area does not have enough seating (only seats four but the home sleeps eight) and is also crowded by a large & dated cabinet containing stereo equipment so old it is designed for cassettes. To the owner: Ditch the dated cabinet and add another couch!

Great location, but home needs some upgrading and updating
We stayed in this home for a week over spring break. There are two great things about this home: the location and the management company, Great Western Lodging. The home is literally across the street from the base of Peak 9 and two blocks from town. You can walk everywhere. Great Western Lodging provided extraordinary service - when we had a problem, they responded immediately. However, this home is very dated and not in great repair. - when we arrived, the king-sized bed in the master bedroom was broken. One side was about six inches higher than the other side. Great Western Lodging promptly sent maintenance over and we had to shim the low side of the bed up with a bunch of boards. For $826/night, I expect a bed that is not broken. - the technology in the home is ancient. There are actually old box TVs in armoires in the spare bedrooms. The owners need to spend $150 at Target for some small flat screen TVs, wall-mount them, and ditch the armoires. The rooms are too small for big armoires. The main living area has a stereo so old it takes cassette tapes, and the flat screen in the main living area is TINY. Again, the owners need to install a decent sized flat screen in the main living area and provide equipment that works with smart phones for music. - due to the presence of yet another armoire in the main living area, there is only space for one sofa and one chair for seating. The owners need to get rid of the armoire/cabinet, free up some room, and add a love seat to provide more seating. The condo sleeps eight but the living area seats four. - in addition to the master bed, we had a lot of maintenance issues. The master toilet broke and maintenance had to replace most of the equipment in the tank. The weather-stripping on the sliding glass door came loose and the door wouldn’t close all the way, a major issue when it’s 20 degrees outside. - the kitchen cabinets are in really bad shape and need to be refinished or painted. The carpet needs to be replaced. The upgrades the owners have done to the kitchen and bathroom counters are nice but incomplete. While we enjoyed our stay in Breckenridge immensely, we did not enjoy paying $826/night for a home that needed so much work. I commend Great Western Lodging for their responsiveness. This could be a five-star home with a little investment in some new technology and furniture!
