Comfy home in great location

This home is very comfortable, well-stocked, great deck amidst the pines with lots of space for all. We walked to Chambers beach, Tahoma Market and small shopping area with latte and gelato shop, tasty burger and pizza restaurants.

It was ok

Please contact your property manager for photos. Filthy towels, mildewed shower curtain, dead animal smell in attic or crawl space, broken screen left on a greasy table on deck, propane tank about empty. Advertised as newly remodeled but a lot of finish work left to do. Great location though. This was advertised as a

Great Location!

We had a great stay! We were able to walk to Tahoma Market and a cute to-go coffee shop. Short easy drive to Meek’s Bay, The only thing I would recommend is more bath towels/newer linens and updated kitchen supplies. There were only 4 full sized bath towels for 7 guests. Would definitely stay again! I’ll just pack our own towels 😉

Cleaner required

This property is pretty but hadn't been freshened up lately. On entering we were greeted with an old closet smell. Towels in bathroom were not fresh either. Had to launder before use. Linen on bed in master was stained! Shower curtain was moldy. No broom provided to sweep floor. Rear deck was not swept and debris on outside furniture. Grill hadn't been cleaned and looked nasty. Pity as location was nice and quiet. Owner needs to up their game

Awesome fall getaway

My daughter and I enjoyed a long weekend getaway. Weather was warm and perfect for beach time and hiking. Location and accommodations could not have been better. The only down side was so many local businesses closed for season and/or Covid so we had to drive to Tahoe City for meals/groceries. Highlight of our trip was bears in the back yard one morning. Would love to come back with whole family.

Miller Family Reunion/Vacation

The cabin was beautiful inside Knotty Pine paneling covers a lot of the walls and that made it feel like a cabin not a house. We did have an issue with the hot water heater at first but service man was sent out immediately and the issue was resolved. HOT water for the rest of the stay and there were 10 of us taking showers. Kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils we found everything we needed. The kitchen was large enough that 3 of us could be cooking/cleaning up at the same time. The back deck was spacious that all of us could enjoy the beautiful pine trees in our view as we enjoyed the sunsets together

Bear Break-in

We loved the house and the proximity to the public beach at Chambers Landing. However, no one told us to keep our windows closed all night because bears have been trying to break in to homes in that area. At 1am, a bear ripped open the kitchen window screen and entered the house WHILE we were sleeping. It was not easily scared off, even with our yelling and turning lights on, staying to eat the food in the kitchen cabinets. We have camped and stayed in Tahoe for 40 years - and have always been aware of bears and the need to secure garbage, etc. But we have NEVER had a bear break in to a house where we were staying. The property management company should have warned us of these possibilities.

Wonderful comfortable cabin, perfect for a family

Great location, spacious and comfortable. Great kitchen for cooking. We loved doing a puzzle in front of the fireplace and playing games at the table. Bedrooms are quiet and whole place is well heated. Would definitely stay there again!

Perfect stay!

This property was one of the most all around well equipped we’ve stayed in. There were 7 of us and plenty of towels, blankets, kitchen items etc. for a lovely stay. I have learned over the years to bring extra paper towels, toilet paper, foil, and the like. But here, they supplied enough for the week which is unusual. but a pleasant surprise. Would rent it again

Homewood cabin escape

Very Clean! Remodel not quite finished- base boards and trim not complete. Perfect for large family. Loved vintage towels- old school design. Pictures make it seem 2x bigger than it is! If you enjoy watching TV be prepared to have a stiff neck! TV mounted over fireplace- very high on wall. This house had EVERYTHING you could use in a stocked home! Very grateful for this. Upstairs mattress might as well have been a cement slab.....I am used to sleeping on a medium firm mattress and this was off the chart hard......other than this issue the master area upstairs was perfect. Perfect location. Mountain bike trail heads right up street. Key pick up warning....Tahoe city location. Very easy and seamless however be prepared that you'll need to pick AND drop off when you leave....with traffic issues in Tahoe be prepared. To the owner...new toaster....ahhhhh only one setting HI and BURN....silly but just wanted this to be addressed...love that they have all the things one could need when away from home....

Good cabin for a weekend getaway

Pros - We loved the cabin and the location. Neat and tidy, good amenities and lovely fireplace. Plenty of room for a group of 8-9 adults. Kitchen was well stocked with all utensils that you need to do your basic cooking. Cons - There was no hot water in the bathrooms on 2 of the 3 days that we stayed there. This turned out to be a disappointment as we were there during the snow storms when it was 23F outside and found it really hard to use the icy cold water in the bathrooms.

Wonderful cabin in the woods!

I have stayed in this cabin several times and absolutely love it! It is in a great location on the West Shore, very close to Chambers Landing, Sunnyside Restaurant and Homewood Ski Area. The cabin is perfect for a family or for a small group of friends. It backs up to a protected wooded area so even though you are in a neighborhood, it feels like you are out in the wilderness. The cabin is very clean and nicely appointed and has a great kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms with laundry and an awesome gas fireplace and hearth! Great back deck too! In the summer, you can walk or run the path that winds up and down the West Shore and walk to the beach at Chambers. In the winter you can cross-country ski or hike right from the backyard onto the Old Rubicon Road or make the 5 min drive to Homewood Ski Area. The house is very well maintained and has all the amenities you could need. The owner is very responsive and accommodating. I would highly recommend renting this cabin. It is a perfect Tahoe getaway spot in an ideal location!

Nicely remodeled, clean & comfortable!

This cabin is clean and comfortable, and is in a great location. Walking distance to Chambers Landing in the summer, and minutes to Homewood Ski Resort in the winter. A short drive to multiple restaurants, rafting trips on the Truckee River, and a grocery store and golf in Tahoe City. We have stayed here multiple times. It was very private - there is a green belt to the rear of the backyard.

Fun with family

Great cabin for our family. We have three boys and they loved the bunk beds. It was very clean and kept warm. Our family skied at Homewood ski resort which is a stones throw away and very affordable compared to others. Great play area in the back of the home to play and build snowmen! We will hopefully return soon. Thanks

Lovely Westshore Cabin

The cabin was perfect for our family summer gathering. It was spacious, clean and nicely furnished with modern amenities but has great Tahoe charm. Great location with just a sthort stroll to the beach. Loved the cozy gas fireplace too on a cool summer evening. We will definitely rent this cabin again for our family.
