Very beautiful well equipped house. The furniture, kitchen accessories, and everything are very very nice. 5 stars for a VRBO home. The deck is very nice, and the slope to the lake is reasonable. The firepit could benefit from an upgrade but is quite serviceable.
There is no internet, so that may impact the teenagers in your group. Cell service is also spotty. The rest of the home is amazing, but if you do need to work this would be a challenge to stay here.
Good communication with the owner.
The home and property is just beautiful! The newly decorated finishes make for a very inviting environment! The beds were extremely comfortable and the downstairs was like it’s own apartment minus a kitchen. The kitchen had every utensil and appliance you could ever need. It was very clean, peaceful and fun with being on the lake! Our grandchildren enjoyed catching and releasing fish after fish! My brother’s home was close by so he picked us up on his boat and we enjoyed this awesome lake with swimming, fishing and riding each night to catch the spectacular sunset! At dark, the stars are so bright. We had a fantastic trip and felt very blessed staying in this beautiful home!
My family had a great trip staying at this cottage. There was room for 5 older adults to sit and sleep, which is getting harder to find. The beds and furniture were comfortable, no 25+ year old hand-me-down furniture here. There's plenty of room to play games at the kitchen peninsula with the provided stools.
We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the water with hummingbirds zipping and buzzing around. It's nice that there's a deck box to store the cushions in since it rained almost every day. We were also able to swim. The lake wasn't too mucky and we could get in and out by sitting on the dock near the shore and swinging our legs up or down.
The cottage is close to Rhinelander and it's easy to get in and out. It's remote yet it doesn't take long to get to a major road. We also drove to Minocqua and even up to Mercer.
We didn’t have much luck with getting reception on the tv and our cellphone connectivity was hit and miss, but we were able to connect long enough here and there to get texts, emails and the occasional phone call. I wouldn't count on being able to be online at a specific time, though.
We would recommend the cottage and would stay here again.
