Absolutely perfect!

Beautiful and secluded cabin. Great place to rekindle a flame or get away from the rat race. The owners thought of everything. Will definitely come back!

Quiet gem!

With a view of Mt. Ranier in the background and a gentle meadow all around this cabin made us feel comfortable. It is a few miles from the Mt. Ranier National Park.

Can’t beat the view!!

So many great things about this cabin. It was clean and had everything we needed and there were so many great little extras to enjoy. We were fortunate enough to have beautiful fall weather allowing us to enjoy the Mountain View from the front porch and to explore the trails down to the Nisqually River. The hosts were very quick to respond to any queries we had. Thanks for everything!

Wonderful Hosts

I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious extent of this property along with the view of MtRainier from the front porch (if clouds cooperate). The house was well equipped and welcoming. My wife wants to come back next year. Great experience.

Lovely home and location

Our family (4 adults) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our hostess and host were lovely and very responsive. The beds were super comfortable and there were plenty of towels, toiletries, coffee and tea. For some strange reason we had a lot of flies in the kitchen area even though we didn't bring any food in with us (I never told our host about the flies soooo perhaps there was something that could have been done). BUT, the flies were a small inconvenience given the beauty of the location and how peaceful it was.

Best Stay Ever

This place is an amazing cozy cabin escape that sits in a private meadow surrounded by trees with a view of Mt. Rainier. The cabin is cozy, clean, spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed hours of family game time, outdoor play in the meadow for the dogs and kids, evening deer and elk sightings and amazing nighttime start gazing. The host is an great communicator and it clear they are committed to providing a great stay which did not disappoint. We will be back.

Loved This Place

So many things about this place to love, from the house, to the property, to the view. The house was perfect for our group. It has special extras like the s’more kit, the numerous small blankets to use for comfort in the house or drinking tea on the front porch in the morning looking at the mountain and the horseshoe game to play on the massive yard. We loved being able to walk on the trails on the property and having a fire at night. Another plus is it is located within a few miles from the entrance to Mount Rainier. I will definitely be coming back here again.

A Magical Stay

The property was just as I expected it to be and then some. The views of Mt. Rainier were spectacular and we loved walking down the trail to the river. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was ready for cooking, (not that I cooked!). There were s’more packages waiting for us, and plenty of wood for the fire pit. It was a wonderful place for us to escape the blistering Texas heat. Geri is a fantastic host.

Very Nice

My husband and I stayed downstairs, and our son and his girl friend stayed upstairs. Our bed was really comfortable. We went to Mt. Rainier and played games and puzzles at night. The house was very clean and decorated with fun stuff. The owner was always responded quickly. We would come back again.

Little slice of heaven

This cabin is a gem - a little slice of heaven. We felt completely at home and extensively used the well-equipped kitchen (furnished with an Instant Pot and an air fryer that we did not use, but wonderful that they’re there) for cooking meals for there were very few restaurants nearby. We much preferred cooking and eating at the cabin, though. The grounds were incredibly quiet and secluded. The view of Mt. Rainier from the windows is simply breathtaking. This cabin and the grounds brought us much needed peace and relaxation. The host had plenty of blankets and throws for getting cozy on the couch or on the porch. Our kids enjoyed running around in the yard, walking to the river, and all the board games. The beds were easily as comfortable as our beds at home. We had no problem sleeping at all (that alone speaks volumes!). I cannot praise this beautiful location and cozy VRBO enough. Hands down, this is the best VRBO we have ever rented. Thank you for hosting!

Charming rental with an amazing mountain view

We wished we had more time to stay longer! We wanted something in a quiet and beautiful setting with mountain views, and this place delivered. We had views of Mt. Rainier from the living room and front porch that were priceless! The cabin had everything we needed, even a choice of grills! The owners are very attuned to guest needs, as even the littlest details were anticipated: toiletries and fancy soaps & lotions in the bathroom, a coffee/tea station in the loft, smores kits waiting in the kitchen, plenty of extra throw blankets & quilts for sitting in the living room or on the porch, a stockpile of toilet paper, and for dog owners, poop bags, poop scooper and ball launchers! The decor in the cabin added much personality and charm. The furniture was mid-century and with the macrame and owl and mushroom themes, it reminded us of growing up in the 70s and early 80s -- everywhere you looked, there was something unique. We also liked the massive map of the area that covered an entire wall; great wallpaper and helpful, too! Our favorite thing to do after a day of hiking and exploring was to sit on the front porch, admiring the mountain and listening to the birds. One afternoon, as the jays were making a commotion, a bobcat trotted across the clearing and disappeared into the trees! As a couple, the cabin had ample room, but it would work for families with kids (games & child gates) and is dog-friendly, with plenty of open yard space. We will definitely stay here again!

We have been fortunate enough since 2008 to acquire the adjacent properties totaling 27acres. We reside in our little 380sq ft cabin dedicating our time to homesteading and maintaining what has been gifted by nature. We couldn’t think of a better way to honor this gift than to share it with travelers.

Why they chose this property

MRNP Gifford Pinchot. Nisqually River Alder Lake Packwood. Most importantly I rarely leave my ‘yard’ as it has Everything nature could offer

What makes this property unique

Space! Not in a subdivision or owned by an investor outside of town. We pride ourselves in maintaining this property allowing nature her ability to wow us. She doesn’t disappoint. We have one of the best views. Mt. Beljica, Rainier, Wow and Osborn all from the front porch! We added a cover around the fire pit area that allows outdoor togetherness during PNW rain days. The wooded walks meandering through the trees pulling guests towards the Nisqually riverbed. The variety of vegetation and mushrooms for those that love to forage. The lists could go on
