Enjoy 1-acre of outdoor space that includes two large covered porches and a swing set. Just minutes to downtown Wellsboro where there is shopping, dining, and entertainment for all ages. A true outdoor paradise located just miles from state game lands and an abundance of fishing.
This raised ranch 3-bedroom house, features an open floor plan that could easily accommodate two families. The master bedroom has a luxurious king bed with en suite bathroom that includes an electric fireplace, soaker tub, and a separate rain shower for a spa-like experience. Bedroom 2 features a queen sized bed. Bedroom 3 has a double over double bunk with a twin size trundle to easily accommodate up to 5 kids with their own smart t.v. The kitchen and dining area is well equipped with everything you will need to enjoy your stay.

The downstairs space is for exceeding all of your entertainment expectations that includes a foosball table, 8' slate pool table, dartboard, dry bar, lounge area that features a fireplace with a 65" smart t.v., and a half bath that includes a washer and dryer.

You will have access to one bay of the garage that stores yard games, a kayak, adirondack chairs, and fishing poles for you to enjoy. Fire up the PitBoss pellet grill and enjoy the beautiful views while relaxing on the outdoor furniture while the kids play on the swing set. Enjoy the bright stars while sitting around the campfire in this country setting.

Five Star Accommodations

We had an amazing stay at this property. The house was spotless and well-equipped for a comfortable getaway. The game room was a fantastic bonus with a large TV to watch football. The location couldn’t have been better— just a short drive to nearby lakes for ice fishing.

Very Nice Place

Was very homey and the back porch is definitely a great place to hang out! Was nice being close to the park and not far from the rail trails and golf course, which we definitely enjoyed! Overall was a very pleasant experience and the owners were very accommodating and responded quickly to any questions we had.

Labor Day holiday get-away

We, along with 4 friends, spent 3 enjoyable nights at Hills Creek Lake Lodge & Retreat over the Labor Day holiday. The property was extremely clean, well stocked and located near friends in the Wellsboro area. The owners were helpful and accessible. There were very squeaky floors in the primary bathroom that could impact a light sleeper. Overall a great place to rent.

Nice house to stay and relax

we met our kids there, the plan was to ride motorcycles thru the country side. But the rain changed that! But we had a relaxing time on the 2 decks watching the deer. We even saw a rainbow from the front deck. Will definitly stay again.

Very clean home with beautiful setting!

This property is very clean, the perfect size for our family and very nice decor and thoughtful touches. We love the back deck, the setting, and the wildlife viewing. The playground is a hit with our little grandchildren and the pool table was fun for their parents. The hosts are wonderful as well.

Beautiful views & plenty of wildlife to watch from the front porch and back deck. Very accommodating hosts. There is plenty of room and things to do, even during a rainy weekend.

Beautiful Home and Location

We stayed while visiting Wellsbor for a family reunion and couldn't have been more pleased. There was even a welcome basket waiting for us. A great house

The house was wonderful, had everything we needed, was a great jumping off point for biking and hiking. We saw lots of wildlife including eagles, a red fox, and deer. The deck was great as was the outdoor fire circle. All in all we had a great week and hope to return sometime.

Labor Day Weekend Getaway

Lovely property and accommodations. Very clean and easy check-in/out process. Owners were very hospitable and were very open to communicate while responding to messages promptly. Convenient location to Wellsboro, Mansfield, the PA Grand Canyon, as well as the state park up the road. We had 3 adults and 2 children in our party and everyone enjoyed themselves. Would stay again!

Wellsboro Vacation

Beautiful Location

This property was very clean and spacious. And the hosts were terrific! The home fit our extended family well and having a bunk bed with trundle worked perfectly for our young grandchildren. We loved having the huge covered deck in the back to sit, relax and watch the deer in the meadow and the children loved the play set in the back yard. The beds, bedding and towels were very nice and comfortable as well. We look forward to staying here again.

Spacious and scenic stay

This house is extremely clean and roomy. The back porch has a peaceful view of a huge hill and forested area with tall grasses. The game room is outstanding, though we didn't get much time to actually play. All the furniture we tried was very comfortable. The only mattress that was hard was the one in the bedroom with one bed in it, but then you may enjoy that if you prefer a very firm mattress. The kitchen and island are huge. There are TVs in the basement family room, the kids' bedroom (the one with the bunk beds), and the master bathroom, which is big and offers you lots of space for your personal items. Easy in, easy out with the lock. Great communication with the owner. I'd definitely recommend this place because it is only about 10 minutes from Wellsboro and there is a park within walking distance called Hills Creek Lake State Park.

Clean, comfortable, and quiet

The house was probably the cleanest we have stayed in, which is something I greatly appreciate. Loved the covered back porch, and the views front and back. The beds and furniture were comfortable. Appreciated the fluffy, absorbent, towels, and that there were extras had we needed them. The water smells bad (sulfur?) but there is filtered water via the refrigerator door, and also a filtered pitcher inside the refrigerator. The filtered water did not smell and it tasted fine. There are some very creaky floor boards, particularly in the Primary Suite. My husband found a route from the bedroom to the toilet with no creaking; we both found it pretty amusing actually. The no-contact entry upon arrival was easy. The "to-do before leaving" list was easy and reasonable. The TV area is on the basement level. It was comfortable and we were able to easily access "our" shows. Personally, we would have preferred the TV area be in the living room, on the main floor, but that's us. Another "that's us" is we were not fans of the taxidermy. I recall seeing two deer mounts in the pics; normally that would be an automatic "no" for us, but this house otherwise fit our needs / dates, so we went with it anyway. Unfortunately, we did not anticipate there were more than the two: six deer, a fox, a bobcat, a pheasant, and two fish. I respect that others may find this a plus, but it is not our cup of tea. Overall a nice house, if you don't mind the "stuffies".
