My husband and I stayed here for a few days and enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The house is in what looks like an old area of town but within 15 minutes of downtown. We had our dog with us and, just looking at the picture with the wood fence, I wrongly thought there was a fenced in backyard. There is no backyard- that’s just a short segment of fence on the side of the house. I did feel safe walking our dog around the neighborhood though. Be aware, there is a train and busy road at the end of the street. It is loud if you are a light sleeper. Didn’t bother me but it did wake my husband up a few times. Overall, it was a good stay, close to everything, with clean beds and comfortable living room.
Small two bedroom house on dead end road. It is located with easy access to/from highway to major tourist attractions, Ruby Falls, Rock City Gardens, and downtown Tennessee Aquarium. It smelled clean when we walked in. Communication was excellent with the host. .
We really enjoyed this stay (4 nights). Plenty of room for 4 adults. Everything we needed was supplied. The location is really great, the neighborhood is a little sketchy, but didn't seem "unsafe". A couple very minor things - a towel bar in the bathroom would be helpful and a small chest of drawers or at least something to set your suitcase on in the 2nd bedroom would be helpful also. The house was very clean and updated. I saw some reviews about the 2nd bedroom bed being uncomfortable so I was a little nervous about that - but we found it to be just fine. (I think the comfort of beds is just very subjective.) Overall, would definitely recommend and would stay again.
We had a great time. Chattanooga was a halfway point for us to meet up with one of our kids. Was really excited to hear the gentle lull of a train. The sound of the whistle is barely audible because their stop the crossing is further down. It was cool to stand on the front porch and watch the train
I stayed for two nights and it was a very convenient area for what I needed. I didn't spend much time in the cottage but found the owners to be excellent in communication, the cottage tidy, price affordable, and the overall area was quiet and quaint. There is an operating train track very close by, but I enjoyed hearing it and felt a sense of nostalgia. The only thing I did struggle with is that I have a sensitive equilibrium and struggle with vertigo occasionally and the cottage has a noticeable lean in its foundation which made me feel dizzy and somewhat nauseous the first night. As soon as I walked outside on level ground, the feeling went away but I just wanted to mention this for any other guest who may have similar issues as me. My daughter noticed lean of the floor right away, but it did not bother her in the same way it affected me. My body seemed to get more used to it the second night but it was still very noticeable. My only suggestion for improvement is to reiterate what some other guests mentioned in other reviews...that the guest bed could really use a topper (you can feel the mattress springs) and the master bedroom could use a room darkening shade. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and a better alternative than a hotel.
Me and my two friends from nursing school wanted to take a trip before we started back to school and this was the perfect place! It’s not too far from anything but it also isn’t super busy! We loved it so much. It was very clean and the hosts were awesome!
I really enjoyed being able to have Christmas with my family in this cute little house. Thank you to the awesome owners who had a Christmas tree there for us to enjoy!
Great stay - the unit was clean, available on time, and overall quite nice. A few windows lacked screens, and there were a couple of roaches when we arrived, but did not see any after the first 10-20 minutes.
Owner was communicative, and we were set up well!
Would recommend :)
Great location, easy to access, around the corner from Lookout Mountain and a great local restaurant. Cute, simple home. My only thing was the guest bed was very uncomfortable and hard.
My wife and I stopped over night for a quick visit. Everything was as advertised. Very clean, quiet neighborhood. Several food options right around the corner with a Walmart within a 5 min drive. WIll book again when back in town
This place was perfect and exactly as listed and pictured. We were in town for a Mountain Bike race at Raccoon Mountain and the location was perfect with a super short drive there and also super close to other attractions. Quiet street. Loved we could bring our fur baby too!
My wife and our dog enjoyed our stay. Everything was completely updated and well stocked. The house is small but certainly served the purpose. The neighborhood is also safe. No backyard to speak of, but that didn't matter much as we were out during each day. Location very close to tourist attractions, so another big plus.
Bonuses were the very comfortable master king size bed and everything feeling like new. The only negative is the silverware is old (cheap). Sounds petty, but it does matter a bit. However that is certainly not a deal breaker as I highly recommend staying here.
We enjoyed our stay. The location was good in relation to where we wanted to visit. Only complaint were the mattresses. The owners were great! Communication was fast!
My friends and I stayed here to attend an Indian Motorcycle ralley. The place was clean, no nasty carpet in the house and conveniently located for restaurants and ammenities. Already looking forward to next year and staying again.
