About this property

Hideout Nature Lodge at Big Sky Resort

Enjoy the sounds of a babbling brook and views of the rocky mountains. The perfect getaway for a multiple families or big group of friends looking for a place to make memories in a quiet slice of Big Sky. The Hideout is conveniently close (90 seconds by car) to all the attractions of Big Sky Resort's Base Area. Breathe the fresh mountain air, and take in all that is Montana.

A single family home with all of the amenities of a resort. Featuring a new hot tub and Finnish sauna, and stocked wet bar, it has all that you could need for a getaway under the big sky. The full kitchen has two ovens and a gas range on a big granite island, perfect for cooking up a big family meal to be shared at the large dining table with enough space for everyone.
Mountain biking and hiking trails are available right outside the front door.
If the scene turns wintery, there are snowshoes and a toboggan for exploring the fresh snow. Don't forget to tune up your skis using the work space in the heated garage. When visiting during ski season, be sure to utilize the boot and glove dryer in the mud room, which is hooked right up to the central heat. The Hideout Lodge is ski-in/ski-out for intermediate skiers and can be accessed from War Dance off the top of Andesite and drops down to Thunder Wolf chair for lift access via Low Dog road.

The entire home will be open and available for your use. No parking in the garage, but there is space for up to six vehicles in the driveway.

A quiet dead end street with many part time residents. Often times others nearby are also on vacation.

It is suggested you have a car, with plenty of parking for multiple vehicles. Big Sky Resort is a 90 second drive or a ten minute walk from the log home.

The Hideout is located on a road that is plowed for skier access. This means you can ski right out from the front door! This also means we *highly* recommend an all-wheel/4 wheel drive vehicle to access the cabin.

Beautiful and spacious Montana log cabin

We had a wonderful time with 4 couples and my Dad at this spacious and beautiful log cabin in the woods. While some of our party left early for Yellowstone and I went for a conference, my Dad saw a bear ambling in the front yard from the safety of the front entrance. I enjoyed seeing the colorful streaks of color in the sky from the back porch and the sunlight filtering through the trees, with the soothing sound of the babbling brook behind the house, that you can see a little bit of. We made breakfast and warmed pick up dinners in the beautiful and well stocked kitchen, even spices, oil and condiments. We slept soundly in 4 of the 5 bedrooms and 4 and a half bathrooms, on located close to the jacuzzi and sauna on the back porch worked well for all of us. The open livingroom with high ceiling next to the dining area was a great place to gather and talk. Our only regret was that we didn’t have more time to stay and explore Big Sky.
