About this property

Oceanfront home with large screen porch and private board wall to the beach!

Beautiful beachfront home with panoramic ocean views and private boardwalk, located on the Isle of Palms. This southern home is situated under old island oak trees and decorated with cheerful beach colors and Charleston based art. Kitchen has small breakfast bar with granite counter top. Dining room table seats 8 and is open to the living room. Living room is open concept with flat screen TV and ample seating for everyone. Stepping out from the living room is an expansive screen porch across the back of the of the house with a line of rocking chairs - take a seat and rock and watch the sunset over the ocean.
On the third floor is a Primary suite with a spacious sized bedroom with private sundeck, ensuite bathroom with oversized soaking tub. The backyard is expansive and offers great green space for family games. This property has a wonderful private boardwalk from the backyard through the dunes allowing direct access to the beach.

NOTE: There is an easement between 2508 Palm and 2600 Palm Blvd (along the right side of the property) where the public can walk between the 2 properties and through the dunes to the beach.

Another Happy Stay. Probably Our Last.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second February stay at 2600 Palm. We again enjoyed the property, particularly its location: oceanfront and close to amenities. The house is certainly dated but has all the essentials. We had a couple of maintenance issues: TV not working and a broken water pipe which were dealt with by the maintenance team. We had the benefit of no one occupying the neighboring properties so it was very quiet. We noticed that a public beach access strip was being opened along one side of the property which could reduce privacy in the future. We are from Canada so the current political climate will likely keep us away next year. Sad!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented this home for 3 years in a row. We love the location, that the home is on the beach and surrounded by trees, the giant screened in porch with hammock and table/chairs for enjoying meals outside, and the paved space under the house for our kids to play. However — the home is in definite need of some upgrades and maintenance. The shower in the guest room behind the stairs had mold in it for the 2nd year in a row, and the toilet in the bathroom btn the two twin bedrooms ran constantly. The last night, the large tub upstairs started leaking through the ceiling and dripping into the dining room - even though the tub was barely filling up. This also happened last year on our last night. In addition, there is no longer a working light over the kitchen sink, making it difficult to see when washing dishes - and it just makes the kitchen seem dark and dingy when working at those counter tops. We will likely choose another property next year, which I hate, because the location/yard/outside spaces at the home are lovely!

Screen was fully ripped off one side of porch and just hanging there from storm 2 weeks earlier had to call management to fix twice. Like island realty for most part but could we check lights and remotes and replace these proactively for guests before each visit. Every year we go in August and by end of season half the bulbs are burned out, one out of 4 remotes has working batteries. Would just like to see some proactive efforts so I am not constantly calling to fix things.

Although the home is older and somewhat worn we can attest to its sturdiness as a tornado passed with ion 150' of the house! Weather wise the whole week was a challenge but quick access to the beach enabled us to take advantage of every break n the storm. Great location!

Even though there were neighbors to the immediate left and right, the trees and large yard made it seem like our own isolated place on the beach. Nice older beach house, plenty of room, great views and wonderful large screened in porch with plenty of seating. The yard is unbelievable for croquet, bocce, soccer ball, football, etc. The ONE drawback, and not really a drawback if you are aware and plan for it, the parking is tight. I will absolutely stay here again and again.

Large back yard. Nice screened-in porch. Parking arrangements were remarkably difficult. Wi-Fi signal was somewhere between weak and awful (another common theme- why can’t beach rental homes provide reasonable Wi-Fi?). Minor maintenance issues were addressed promptly. Impressed with the management company’s communication.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house! Would absolutely return. The beach access is without parallel. Yes, it could use a little updating of bathrooms and upstairs carpet. But the place is well maintained and the important stuff like kitchen appliances are all good. Nice grill, too. If you rent this house, you will spend your time on the beach and in the well appointed deck area overlooking the water and a football field sized lawn. Only leave to go to the grocery store.
