About this property
Ground floor of renovated townhouse with large veranda
Ground floor (5 stairs from street level) of lovingly restored traditional townhouse, on the waterfront (30 m. from the sea) at the quiet end of Poros town. We've kept all the charm of this traditional townhouse from the 1880s, with its spacious veranda, and added amenities - new kitchen and bathroom with a shower for 2, relaxing bedroom with comfortable bed (see the sea from bed!), wifi, AC and more.
7 minutes walk from the ferryboat and town center, with restaurants and cafes right next door. A quiet yet central location. Free parking on street by the house.

About the host

My sister and I fell in love with Poros. What is there not to love? It's easily accessible, not too touristy yet with all you can ask for in a greek getaway Island: a plethora of tavernas, wild beaches, amazing sunsets. While looking for an opportunity to spend time there, Cosmas, a local friend, told us about this property. We fell in love immediately and spent the next year renovating this townhouse built in 1900.
Why they chose this property
Poros is only an hour's ferry away from Athens port of Pireus. It is a favorite of athenians who come for quick getaways, so there is a plethora of great tavernas and cafes right by the house. And yet, Poros Town, built in the 19th century, retains it's authentic charm. Our townhouse oozes from that charm. It's a great place to relax and still enjoy a vibrant Greek village.
What makes this property unique
You can see the sea and the mountains from the bed, the living room or the veranda. The yachts add that vacation flair but it's the colors of the sea and sky that leave you awestruck.
