Bilbo Baggins Would Approve

This quiet retreat was perfect for our visit to the Charlottesville area. We liked watching the birds from the sweet deck that overlooks the pond. Nice house with a super comfortable bed. We would go there again.

Unique hidden gem

Overall, the stay was enjoyable! The Hobbit House is very unique and quite cozy. It is close to a few different lovely wineries and not too far from some hiking trails. The bed in the house was VERY comfortable. Also, the stray cats and dogs that visited around the house were cute and an unexpected treat. The house is somewhat in the woods so there were some harmless critters that visited as well. I would definitely stay here again!

False advertising and feral cats

We were seeking a romantic getaway Valentine’s Day weekend. What we received was anything but. Supposedly the hobbit house was part of the White lotus echo resort spa which included various sauna, spas, cold, plunges, etc. when we got there late in the evening there was no directions no instructions and we finally found the “spa area” where nothing was on, or did not work. But the absolute atrocious part was that there were feral cats running around all over the property, pawing and scratching on our doors and meowing very loudly all night. The cats were literally trying to get in the hobbit house with us and were relentless about it. Our sleep was severely disrupted as was our romantic atmosphere, which impacted our stay, and our next day immensely. Will not be back.
