The Swisshome Nest has all new appliances, It has a lounge with sleeper-futon, TV, a kitchen with a labradorite island and glass top oven, a bathroom, and a bedroom. It offers a unique sun-filled breakfast room cum laundry room with a brand-new washer, dryer, dishwasher, washbasin, and breakfast table. The breakfast room has glorious forest vistas with glass sliding door access. Outside there is a gas griddle, a 12-seat log round table cut from a Doug Fir that fell in the December 2022 storm.

Great Retreat

This property lacked for nothing. Tucked away in its own little space, it is very clean and accommodating. Having a grill was a plus. Within 35 minutes of most essential stores and attractions. Great stay!

House of tranquility

This place was amazing! Impeccably clean, well equipped, more than one could need, left snacks on counter, spices, so much. It was quiet surrounded by trees, 25 minutes from coast. If your looking for quiet and peace-this is the place to go

Waterfalls and more

This property was immaculately clean with many wonderful touches provided by the hosts. The space was perfect for our family of four and small furry friends. We loved the yard and the flat top grill. We were minutes from the Sweet Creek Falls Trail and Beaver Creek Falls Trail. We also enjoyed nearby Florence - the sand dunes and the carnivorous plants at Darlingtonia Wayside were fun for the kids and adults. We highly recommend this property and can’t thank our hosts enough for generously sharing their home with us. You won’t be disappointed!

Highly recommend!

This place is in a beautiful setting and very quiet. It was very well cared for. The house was great! It was clean with a nice kitchen and wonderful sunroom. All the extra's you could want. Our hosts, Chris and Susan, were very prompt with communication. We got in late and it was so nice to have lights on to see where to go. Something to note is if you come from the east at night, take highway 126 rather than highway 36. Highway 36 is a beautiful drive but very curvy for night driving. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return someday. Highly recommend this location!!

Great place, hard bed

As you can see from the pictures, it's a compact cabin. But I feel like the layout of the place makes it very comfortable. I appreciate that the bedding was not washed with heavily scented detergent. Also the greenroom in the back was a nice place to have breakfast in a sunny place without it being too cold in the morning. The only thing I would let people know is that the bed is pretty hard and there is no foam padding in the unit. I didn't ask the owners about it though so they might be able to help with that if you prefer a softer bed. I got used to it after the first night Great place!

Perfect!

Two of us stayed at this sweet little home for 7 nights, and it was a pure pleasure. We loved our stay! Chris and Susan have a lovely home and the location is beautiful. If you like nature and solitude this is the place to be. There are other homes on the road this home is on, but rarely did we see cars passing, and we did not hear anyone the whole time we were there. The back yard is large and private. The home is stocked with anything one could need. The drive to Florence is an easy one and we did it daily, giving us the benefit of the dunes and Florence, but the solitude and beauty of the forest also. I looked at many homes before choosing this one and I"m so very happy I got this one. We did not use the pull out bed, but the bedroom bed was very comfy. I hope to return to this home again one day, but until then I have lovely memories. Thank you Susan and Chris.

The Swisshome Nest is a small home that has been completely redone with, appliances, TV, and wifi.
It offers great proximity to the Siuslaw River for kayaking, fishing, and water sports.
Up to 2 dogs are welcome that are less than 50 pounds. There are steep hikes into the national forest. The Nest is half a mile from the Siuslaw River. It is about 10 miles from Sweet Creek Falls and 22 miles from Florence on the Pacific Ocean. The property offers a relaxed getaway of a small home with all the modern amenities that you expect in your own home. It is set under giant Douglas Fir Trees reaching up to 180 feet tall. Whether you wish to relax indoors or outdoors in your nest, you will find a place to do just that. Please keep your dog on a leash until you are off the property. Dog poop bags are provided. Please pick up the dog poop and put it in the trash.

The Nest is set in the rural community of Swisshome Village. It is a community where 17 long-term rental homes and 2 vacation homes are set against a forest and national forest setting where you should find peace and tranquility. It is a short drive to the coastal towns of Yachats and Florence should you like to spend some time at the sea.
