Last-minute fishing getaway in the White River area. House was nestled in the woods, next to a stream as advertised. The sound of the water from the front porch was so calming. Will stay here again when peak of fly fishing season opens back up.

The location was great, except there was no sign on the front gate showing the address. Furnace is kind of sketchy. It would get really hot or really cold.
We had a great stay! Beautiful property, very peaceful and quiet. Loved the creek. The weather was perfect to sit on the large front porch. Hope to return soon.
We sought this cabin for it's secluded presentation. As we were on an anniversary weekend, we wanted to be away from the busyness of city life and needing to talk to people. We enjoyed the seclusion and privacy. The cabin was clean and we had the place to ourselves. Our host was punctual to respond to messages when we needed anything.
very nice property quiet and alone besides the owners house being on the property. you can hear the creek from the cabin. lots of wildlife and pretty things to see. cabin could use a little more furniture and updating but other than that very nice.
Don’t know where all the high ratings for cleanliness came from. Maybe some people’s standards are higher than others, or maybe it’s gone downhill. ??? Yes it’s roomy and cheaper than most places, but still should be clean.
Hate to leave bad reviews but thought people deserve to know. Setting is beautiful though. Just what we were looking for as far as that goes. So sad cause could be a really nice place. Needless to say, we won’t be going back.
Secluded and quiet. Open rooms with adequate space yet comfy for a couple. Deer and rabbits in the yard with a beautiful creek running in front of the house. You could sit on the front porch and hear the water rushing over the boulders. The AC works fantastic so take an extra blanket. We hope to be back there in the fall.
This place is hands down amazing! the drive itself to the property was so beautiful and we instantly felt at peace. arriving at the cabin mouth dropping view!! had no issue getting access to enter the home everything was well kept together even had some tour guides laid out, game of darts inside. loving owners greeted our family with care and offered wonderful sights of the property to view for our pleasure and recommend some good areas to explore/eat all around amazing hospitality. my babies LOVED the open space and playground was to cold to play in any water but they have little fishes too. i wish we’d booked more time to get into everything the cabin had to offer. a good 30 min drive from town but definitely worth the drive. can truly say i had more pros to this experience then any cons im a city girl but this cabin getaway made me rethink some choices will absolutely be back!
My husband and I booked this for our honeymoon. Upon arrival we had a very bad gut feeling. The house sort of smelled and the wooden bridge’s slats were not well attached. We received no arrival information other than the address. Host was difficult to get a hold of. We had a strong enough bad feeling that we unloaded our cooler and never came back.
This property is a gem in the woods. So perfect to relax, unplug from your daily grind and get back to nature. The open floor plan is wonderful, plenty of room for friends and family. Everything you need is provided, just bring your clothes!
The woods surrounding the cabin are full of wildlife. There is a natural spring running right in front of the cabin. You can sit on the wrap around porch and listen to the water. While walking, you can follow the spring and you will find several lovely places to sit and enjoy the spring.
We will definitely make this our go to place to relax. We are looking forward to returning in the summer with our grandchildren, so they can enjoy chasing fireflies, playing in the spring and exploring the playhouse.
Jason & his wife are wonderful hosts and have thought of everything to make our stay relaxing.
Overall impression 4.5 stars! Driving up to the property was concerning as the grounds appeared to be unkept. However, once inside we found a clean 1 bedroom with large kitchen and living room, very nice bathroom and the shower was great! The deck was very inviting! Sparsely furnished for the size of the living area, but comfortable! Great bed! The owners were very welcoming and the wife gave us a personal tour of the creek and surrounding property. We learned about the area and the property. The scenery on our hike(s) was beautiful. We did have a few issues (no fault of the owners) the thermostat went in the fritz so our last night was a little warm. However, our vacation was not ruined by no means! Location is out of town. If simple, comfortable, quiet vacation is in your future and you don’t mind driving a few miles to town, you should consider this property! Close to fishing on the white river and the races on Friday nights. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!
