Cozy Cabin in the Woods

My family and I (2 adults, 3 children ages 10-13 and our Shih-Tzu) spent two nights at the cabin. The host, Kevin was kind and easy to communicate with. Check in was simple and the cabin was clean and neat for our arrival. The cabin is rustic and has not been updated in a while, so as expected there were some cobwebs, flies and overall worn appearance in some areas. This did not bother us as the towels and bedding were fresh, clean and comfortable. The mattresses were very firm, which my husband loved but did not suite me as well. This is definitely a personal preference. Highlights for us were the spacious living room seating with open concept into the dining room. Perfect for our whole family to be comfortable and together. Also, the game room in the basement. We really enjoyed the ping pong table and checker board and though it was chillier in the basement than the rest of the house (as noted in listing) it did not create a problem for us. The property has a nice little trail down to a pond and a stream. It is peaceful and pretty. The driveway entry was steep and very muddy with the weather we’ve been having, so we were happy to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. I think it’s worth mentioning that the spiral staircase that leads to two of the bedrooms is narrow and awkward. My children did not have a problem using it, however, someone not as able bodied would probably be better suited in the first floor Queen room. Close to skiing, tubing and good food!We recommend this cabin!

Cool hiking location

The property was a great getaway on an impressive lot. While we would have loved to stay longer, it was a perfect spot for hiking Mt. Graylock and relaxing afterwards. I certainly would go back!

Nice rustic cabin

Nice place to stay with family while attending an event in the area. The cabin was nice and the dogs enjoyed playing in the yard and in the woods. The place is very rustic so be prepared to share the space with moths, spiders and ladybugs. Some things to consider, that were not obvious from reading the listing: -There is no air conditioning, or even fans in the cabin. One family member ended up sleeping on the couch because it was too hot upstairs. -The driveway may not be suitable for all cars, and you cannot park on the street. We ended up checking out early because we didn’t think my brother would be able to get his two wheel drive crossover up the driveway in the rain storm. -“Basic soap included” means hand soap and dish soap. You have to bring your own shampoo, body wash, etc. -There is no wi-fi (which was fine, but something we didn’t realize when we booked). -There is a barbecue grill outside, but it is not in working condition.

Perfect, Quiet and Private Getaway

Amazing place, wonderful area, incredible hosts. We wanted a quiet and private place to spend a few days and it was exactly what we were looking for. Great place for us and our dog to explore the woods and relax on the back deck. Great location and a quick drive into Williamstown, North Adams and Pittsfield. We will be planning to come back here again!!! LOVED this place.
