About this property

Rustic, yet Upgraded Cabin on Stunning, Level Lakefront Lot with LONG Lake Views

One of the best lots with some of the best views on the whole lake! Lots of room to roam and play in the spacious yard, or just relax on the expansive deck while enjoying the views of the lake. Renovated but Rustic cabin style house, with multiple living spaces. Wonderful Lake views from the kitchen, the main living area or from the family room! Enjoy features such as the retro appliances, concrete counters, frosted glass barn doors, ~1000 sq foot trex deck, two fire pit areas, metal roof, fun sleeping loft (this has a knee wall but is not enclosed) w/ 4 twin beds and more! There are a lot of upgrades, but also there are some quirks- some of the countertops are slightly different heights- the floors are "plywood hardwood" that were painted white (they will look dirty)- there are a couple of cracked windows- you may have to pull the sprayer down to get better water pressure in the kitchen sink- a section of the deck boards has popped up at one edge- there is a lot of iron in the water (we suggest bottled water, and avoid washing whites)- there is not AC (rarely is it needed)- there is not heat in the main room (just the bedrooms, family room and bathrooms) so if it is chilly outside have sweatshirts handy- sometimes the living room ceiling fan is a little tricky- the loft ladder is not suitable for very little ones- the loft has a knee wall but is not enclosed (noise travels)- the frosted glass barn doors to the 2 bedrooms do not lock, and if you are naked and stand very close to the door YES someone will see you- If you think these type of things would ruin your stay, please do not book with us! If you want a great house that can sleep up to 10, with a hot tub, stunning views, HUGE deck and yard, your dog(s) is part of the family, and want some of the best outdoor space on the lake, well then welcome to our home!

We had a great time at the lake. The house was awesome, perfect for what we wanted. We loved how peaceful and quiet it was there. The dogs enjoyed it too! Hopefully we’ll be able to come back next year!

Cabin on the lake

The description about the property is spot on so read carefully. We loved our stay, the kids loved their time, our dog loved it. Nothing quite like having your morning coffee with that view while the kids play at the waters edge. Hidden gem in a great location.

Perfect location

This amazing house has it all: direct private water access mere steps away (but without a bunch of annoying stairs), close proximity to Deep Creek's business/tourist district while still being pretty quiet and low-key, a big yard for dogs to run around in, simple and cozy unlike some of the overblown McMansion type places you see in the area but without sacrificing any important amenities, and chipmunks galore!

Adorable cabin. Lovely lot and amazing views. The huge deck is perfect and where we spent a good deal if our time. Our kids enjoyed the paddle boards. The hot tub was great too

Right on the lake!

This house is super creative. The owners clearly put a ton of thought into the design! The location was amazing. A beautiful back deck and level yard leading straight to the dock. Even the hot tub gave you pretty views of the lake! The beds were very comfortable. Unlike so many houses we have stayed in, this one had plenty of seating for all of us to eat meals together, play games and even watch a movie! Host was kind and responsive. Would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you for sharing your home!!

The property was the perfect place for a Labor Day weekend with friends! Great views of the lake, close to town for grocery runs, awesome amenities, and plenty of space for our large crew. Would recommend and hope to be back!

Nice house, great views, great location for hiking and Wisp

We had a nice time at this house, and enjoyed the views of the lake! We stayed in August and didn't go in the water - it was a bit cold and rough. It would be fine for jet skiing or other types of motor boating. We tried paddleboarding but again it was a bit rough, especially with the frequent motor boats in the area. Our main interest was hiking, and there were a lot of good family friendly moderate hikes in the area (kids ages 9 and 11). My 9 year old son stayed upstairs in the loft area - he didn't mind doing the ladder and got more comfortable with it each time he did it. Nice touches were the hot tub and fire pit right on the deck.

Best vacation yet!

We completely fell in love with this sweet spot! The cabin was clean and fresh and the perfect size for our big family. Waking up to the beautiful lawn and dock was so peaceful. We even tacked on an extra day because we didn’t want to leave. We will most definitely be back!

Relaxation with an amazing view!

Our weekend with the grandkids couldn’t have been nicer! Totally laid-back zen… step right out to a deck with an amazing view of the lake and just steps to the dock. Perfect Weekend Away

Our family stayed here with our two dogs. It was a perfect few days, we wish we had booked for longer. The deck was perfect for spending time at night by the fire pits. The dock was perfect for fishing. Although the neighbors are close, there was completely privacy separated by the tree lines. We will definitely be booking to stay here again!

Just what the doctor ordered!!

This is just what we needed!! My family, dogs and I stayed at this home. We had the best time. The deck is HUGE!!! It had a firepit to keep warm and a smaller firepit for roasting our smores. It was a nice cozy house just steps from the lake with your own dock. The host was absolutely fabulous and great to work with. I would definitely recommend staying here. We will definitely be back!!

Why they chose this property

THE LOT AND THE VIEWS. After looking at many homes with steep lots and many steps down to the water, we knew this was the right place before we ever stepped inside. We gutted and renovated the house with the vision of recreating my wife's grandparents hunting lodge in the Ozark foothills of Missouri. While it may not be for everyone, we believe that many will love the vibe that has been created!
