Rented this place for our family of 5 for a little spring break getaway and some Inlet fishing. The place was very nice, just freshly remodeled. The repair man and cleaning lady were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a very nice home in a quiet location just minutes from Murrells Inlet. We will certainly be renting this place again in the future.
Communication was great! We loved the place. It felt cozy like home. They supplied more extras than expected. Everything was clean. Will be back in the future for sure.
We loved our stay, the couches and beds are very comfortable and the place is exceptionally clean. Short golf cart ride to the garden city pier. The only con is there was a moisture issue in the room with 2 beds, which made it difficult for me to sleep. The kids did not notice it though.
Property was clean, everything worked as it should, quite community, we were on motorcycles so we were the only one's making any noise, ( we tried our best not too) when coming in and out, it's not a five star hotel but that's not what we were looking for, it was perfect for us, away from everyone an away from the events going on so we had peace away from the noise but close to everything, we sit on the front porch more than we did inside , it was nice and peaceful as an old biker and musician we like to ride out to the biker spots where the party and loud noise is going on for a little while then get away from it all and relax, this was perfect for us.
At first arrival, the property was clean and well kept. It has a nice covered front porch with table, chairs and a gass grill. The place is well furnished with anything you might need. When we arrived, the cleaning lady was still there so we just sat on the porch while she finished up. We had stoped at the grocery store on the way in and had bought some regular coffee. We noticed when we went in that they only had a keurig and the cleaning lady said she lived close and would bring us new regular coffee pot and she did within minutes. We love our coffee and she has no idea what that meant to us. The beds are comfortable and the furniture as well. Only about 5 minutes to the marina. Will definitely try and stay here on the next fishing trip.
From the night we checked in, there was a major ant and cockroach problem. Cleaning lady came the next day, took care of the ants and left us with a can of roach spray. Owner tried to tell me the roaches were just palmetto bugs. I don't care what you want to call them, they are still roaches! We continued to have problems with roaches. Left after the second night and rented a hotel for the last two nights of our stay. I have been calling VRBO since July 12 to get the issue resolved and receive a refund to help pay for the hotel we had to get because we couldn’t stay in a place crawling with bugs. I have again reached out to the owner who initially said she'd make sure Vrbo received my claim. NO response from her either. Vrbo just gives me the runaround, even one guy telling me he'd expedite my claim and gave me a number - likely a number they give everyone to make you feel like they're doing something. I should have done more research before renting through Vrbo. The BBB has thousands of claims against them with people saying pretty much the same thing I'm experiencing. We ended up at Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort at Pawley's Island, SC for the last two nights of our stay. We stayed there for not much more than we paid to stay in the bug-infested vrbo, and it was SO much nicer. And the ONLY roach we saw was a dead one that must have traveled with us in a bag we brought from the vrbo. RENTERS BEWARE!
