We had fun! It's a quirky old house and our kids enjoyed exploring the house and the yard. Everything worked fine. It was exactly what we needed for our couple of nights in Kirtland.
Willow Woods Retreat was the perfect place for our geographically-dispersed family to celebrate Christmas together. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was roomy and well supplied with appliances, cookware, and dishes. Thermostat made room climate easy to regulate. We look forward to returning!
This property is a peaceful and quiet get away. We stayed for a week for a wedding and enjoyed the numerous parks nearby during our down time. Would definitely recommend.
House was cute and cozy with enough room for lots of family to spread out. Very close to Chapin Forest. Kitchen had most utensils needed for a big family dinner. (Needs a can opener) Stove and oven worked fine. A bit of traffic noise as it’s on a pretty busy road but nothing like city traffic. We had a great time with no issues.
The house and the area were exactly as described. The owners were well organized and had perhaps the very best property guide book that I have ever seen. We knew exactly what to look for and how to use everything. Really great place and we look forward to staying again in the future
We really enjoyed this vintage charmer! There were MANY strong points to the property such as the beautiful and spacious kitchen, 2 bathrooms, large upstairs bedrooms, game room, kids toys, awesome laundry room, and outdoor entertaining area. The hosts provided plenty of toiletries, linens, as well as, kitchen and laundry essentials that you and your family may need for your stay.
We loved this beautiful home. It was just minutes away from Historic Kirtland so it made it easy to come back and forth. We also enjoyed Squire Castle. The house was charming and bigger than we expected. Everything was clean and organized. We picked this home because of the year it was built, as we wanted to help them get a feel for the history of Historic Kirtland, it was perfect for that.
We were sent incorrect codes for the door numerous times. After about two hours, and four codes, our patience was out. Took multiple calls to get a supervisor. We asked for, and received, a refund.
The house and the furnishings were beautiful, as was the historic area. There was a dead duck out by the pond and when the hosts were alerted, they apologized, but it wasn’t taken care of. We were bummed there was a three-day minimum stay, because we could only be there two nights, but we were aware of that at time of booking.
This was a quiet place. Lots of road traffic but overall very quiet. Everything was clean, which was what we were most interested in. Other than not being able to find the remote for the DVD player in the living room area, everything was wonderful! And that was just a small, minor detail!
This was a cozy, clean, lovely home. I absolutely loved the radiator heat. The kitchen was nicely stocked for cooking and the hot chocolate provided was a really nice touch. The next time I'm in Cleveland I will try to stay here again and hopefully, it will be in the summer so I can enjoy the outdoors too! There is a wonderful little pond in the back behind the fire pit which was nice to look at. I also took advantage of the jet tub in the upstairs bathroom. Overall, a really great experience!

Peace & quiet
Had a peaceful & relaxing time. This is a cute home. Reminded me of being a little girl in my grandmothers home. We loved the kitchen space & spent most of our time there or outside. Only issue was the stove doesn’t work properly. The pilots run low. Other thing. Not enough towels. Other than that I will book again.

I would stay at this property again if not for my limited mobility issues. The only walk-in shower was up a steep flight of stairs which I couldn't access. The tub on the main floor was too high for me to access. If there had been a step it would have been fine. The house was very charming and easy to get to.
The pond behind this home was amazing and gorgeous. The chairs and tables were nice for outdoor dinners. The outdoor grass areas were fun to run and play tag in. Inside—spacious rooms, nice kitchen, fun Victorina decor. Beds were comfortable, had plenty tu of extra blankets for our large family of 7 (this property sleeps 8 comfortably). The trundle bed room (queen with trundle underneath) hooks to the master bathroom through a funky hidden door. Foosball was fun. We did run out of hot water the first night; we were running the dishwasher and hot water in the clothes washer and then took hot showers. That was not a very big issue though! We waited 30 minutes, tried again, and had enough. If we go to kirtland again, we would stay there again for sure!
