While the setting is beautiful you have people on top of you, no privacy at all when you are outside. Kitchen cupboard broken, poor quality bath towels and horrific mattresses especially in the one guest room. It was 100% springs. Would have been more comfortable sleeping on a cement floor. For the price we paid per night, definitely not value for money.
We enjoyed our time in the Dune Sunrise Villa. The property was very nice, access to the beach was amazing and would definitely recommend renting. The unit is part of a larger quad-plex that occupies the majority of the ground level making access ideal for those who don’t want to go up and down stairs. This would have been a 5 star review if we didn’t have issues with the buildings’s FACP alarm going off in the middle of the night’s we were there and the refrigerator not keeping our food cold and making a rattling noise the entire stay. Both issues caused problems with getting our children to sleep and staying asleep. The only other issues we had were not with the unit but lack of towels and linens, we made a reservation for 10 people but were only provided towels of 6 and no linens for the pull out couch or trundle bed. Luckily we brought plenty of beach towels with us and had the ability to bring linens and blankets with us. If you are looking for a larger property for a reunion I would strongly recommend renting out all 4 units and making some wonderful beach memories.
We have never been to Melbourne before, and we hope to be back one day! Everything was great! The only suggestion would be having a washer and dryer- things get dirty quicker at the beach. Other than that! It was a very nice place to stay
