We had a two-day stay at Cable Farm - 5 acres on trails with a private Sauna House. The host has done many things right with this wonderfully restored farmhouse. They've maintained the charm of the original, while including great updates where they count, like the comfortable newer bed in the spacious master bedroom. We especially enjoyed the sauna since the weather during our fall visit was unseasonably cold. It was easy to communicate with the host, who responded quickly to our questions. This was among the best experiences I've had over my many years of northern cabin rentals, and I look forward to the possibility of another stay here.
Our party of six adults had a great experience with Jenna’s farmhouse. It was welcoming, plenty of space, spotless and wonderfully located for our Cable adventures. The forest walk to River Eatery was a bonus treat to an already great place. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
We had a great stay here over Labor Day weekend. We brought our kids (ages 11-18) and dog up to Cable for the mountain bike races at Mt. Telemark. The house was beautiful and comfortable. It had everything we needed (towels, kitchen items, etc). We enjoyed the mowed paths on the property and the connection to the Cable Town trails right out of the back of the property. It was a quick and easy drive over to Mt. Telemark for the mountain bike races. We even saw the northern lights the first night we arrived. The host answered all messages quickly and was so easy to work with. We will absolutely stay here again.
The house was great! It was very clean, the owner was super responsive, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We loved the sauna house and used it daily.
It's nice to have trails on the property that lead to the cable community trails. We would stay here again!
If you like old houses tastefully done you will love this place. The house and yard are fantastic. The pictures don't do it justice. We 4 wheeled and it is a great location for that. If you just want a place to hang out with good friends this would be a good place to stay. I am certain we will stay here again.

About the host
Hosted by Jenna Nylund
We are a family of 3 plus 2 dogs, currently living in Minneapolis, MN. We love the outdoors and owning properties in small towns that have a lot of outdoor activities. Our biggest passion is mountain biking, but of course we also love swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, hiking, skiing, climbing, snowmobiling, ATVing, and lounging outside.
Why they chose this property
This is a great property for those who want to be secluded but still want to have the conveniences of being close to restaurants and outdoor activities. We have a lot of outdoor space to roam between our 5 acres and the connecting Cable Town trails.
What makes this property unique
There is a private sauna house in the backyard that allows for both steam and dry saunas. The sauna house has a heated resting room, so you can take regular sauna breaks and re-hydrate with a cool drink without having to go back to the house.
