It’s a cabin in the woods with excellent Au sable river frontage. I will be staying again. Overall it’s a well kept cabin that has been updated. Has everything you need and is very comfortable.
Perfect weekend!! We made a lot of memories. The home was clean and had everything we needed for cooking and even supplied things no other rental we stayed at has. Clean, comfortable and very enjoyable!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Family time was compromised because of condition
I have communicated my concerns with the property owner and received a reply offering apologies and a “ substantial discount” on another of their properties.
This was disappointing to me.
I replied that I could not be assured that the safety and sanitary conditions would be any different at another location.
This was a long waited family vacation and the location was perfect, the cabin was far less than described and had many issues.
We took home live ear wigs in our baggage.
We could not eat at the indoor picnic table on the front porch as it had black carpenter ants crawling everywhere.
Two of the accent chairs had ants also.
The lawn was so long and loaded with goose poop.
We cleaned the poop so my granddaughter could play.
Lawn care came on 4th day. Mowed with no guard and was so fast he left skid marks and grass all over the cars and lawn furniture. No trimming.
Unlocked front door when we arrived.
The front porch floor was so damp and ultimately wet we had to move my granddaughters toys and blankets as they were always wet.
The dryer lint trap was so thick with lint it was a fire hazard waiting to happen.
The vacuum the same way, had to clean it out before we could even use.
What do we pay cleaning fee for.
There were nails coming out of the dresser and top bunk beds. My husband had to fix for safety.
The listing clearly advertises an indoor fireplace, it was boarded up. False advertising
Privacy interrupted with visitors asking about the sale signs.
The house very clean, well stocked with towels, blankets, kitchen utensils (including extras like cooking oil, salt and pepper, foil, coffee filters, plastic wrap and baggies). There’s even a second fridge so we had plenty of room for our food and drinks. Brienne provided very detailed checkin instructions and helpful notes about the place. The wifi is a an added touch but you won’t even want to use it when you see the view. My husband is an avid fly fisherman and this was perfect location for us to easily get to his favorite spots and even fish right from the bank. We dropped our drift boat in right by the house, access was phenomenal. The drop off to the water on the bank is *slightly* higher than we thought from the pictures but our dogs were able to get in and out easily. It is really a great property and riverfront. Things to bring: firewood, ice (there are ice trays so you can always make some), coffee (we always bring it to rentals but some people assume it’s provided).
