About this property

Welcome to the two-tone train home! Our train-themed home is centrally located off Henderson street and about a mile from the downtown traffic circle. We offer a king bed, two twin beds and a full-sized pull out couch. A small laundry and dryer are located in the basement for those needing longer stays. We also provide a 65 inch roku tv ad well as a myriad of board games and a foosball table for family friendly tournaments!

This house is cozy and comfortable, being roughly 700 square feet. It offers a full sized kitchen, with everything needed to cook a family dinner. Beautifully remodeled bathroom with stand-up, walk-in shower. We offer a king size bed with ample storage for clothes and a dedicated work space for traveling workers. Additionally, we have a trundle bed consisting of two twin beds. In the living room we offer a full-sized pull out couch with a 65 inch TV and plenty of games for the kids. In the basement we have a small washer and dryer for those not wanting to go to the laundry mat.

Additional info:
Although we are pet friendly, we do require a one time $85 pet fee.

We love sharing our home with all our guests. However, due to prior disrespectful renters and property damage we will only accept booking requests from:
-- Renters who are above the age of 25.
--Renters who will be staying during the reservation and are not booking for someone else.

***As with most homes in this area, we do get the occasional bugs in the basement. These include asian beetles, spiders, water bugs and the occasional cockroach. We do have the basement and outside foundation sprayed once per month. We just do not want any guests to be surprised if there is a dead insect in the basement.***

Clean, lovely home!

One of the best VRBOs we've ever stayed in! It was super clean, comfortable, and quiet, checking all the boxes of a home away from home. Communication with they owner was excellent, too. We hope to stay again on a future trip to Galesburg!

This place was just as described in a great way! It was easy to access the home with self check in. The inside was clean and clutter free. The kitchen had everything needed and even had complimentary coffee and oatmeal. The yard was well kept and big, which was great for my pups! We loved staying here and definitely will again if we come back to town.

Great place!

We stayed here with our two young kids while in town visiting family and it was perfect for us. Such a cute place fully stocked with everything you could need. Plenty of room, clean and comfortable. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. We will be coming back on our next Galesburg visit!

Loved our stay!

Very nice home in a quiet neighborhood. Property manager was great with communication and made check in and out quick and easy. I love that they thought about our comfort, as they had a basket of coffee, tea, creamer, and oatmeal for us to use during our stay, as well as a sound machine and ear plugs should we need them. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone traveling to the area! We had a great stay and hope to do so again in the near future.

Home away from Home

Love this place, this is our second stay here and it feels like home when we come. Neighborhood is quiet, easy to find, close to shopping and dining. First time using the washer and dryer, it is smaller but we were able to wash what we needed and worked fine for us. Hosts are easy to communicate with. Glad we got to stay again.

Short visit with family in Galesburg

This house was cute, clean, and comfy. I stayed here with my sister and her 4 teenagers. The house provided everything we needed to entertain kids and cook several meals. Everything is nicely finished with lots of space and a big yard.

Great place to stay, so convenient!

The house was exactly what we needed. Clean, loved the location, street wasn't busy, coffee was stocked which was a great plus for us almost 70 year olds, LOL! We are originally from the area, and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Even had a desk for my husband to work from, we work for ourselves and even when we are out of our office we are still working, answering the phones for appts. for our customers, it was perfect. We will for sure stay here again when we come back to The Burg!

Great place for couple/family getaway

We had a pleasant stay here. The place is as advertised. Clean home, comfy primary bedroom, games for kids to play, two TVs, coffee and Keurig maker, some oatmeal packets, nice quiet neighborhood with front porch and close to restaurants and stores. Would recommend this place. It is an older home, so not as many outlets, but very well taken care of and hosts took good care of us. We didn't meet them, but they sent messages to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything.

Cute, comfortable house

Loved the location of this place. We were able to drive minutes away to stores and walk around the corner for pizza and fast food. The college is a quick couple minute drive down the road. Perfect place for a quick stay and wish I could have stayed longer. Quick responses from the owners. Felt very welcome and coffee pods on the counter after a long plane and car ride was such a blessing! The teenagers loved with games and foosball table.

Great stay in Galesburg!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the train house. (Incidentally I heard the train *maybe twice?* very briefly) It's such a nice treat to have parking all to yourself with a great big back yard with ample shade and sun!! The neighbors are friendly and quiet. Just about everything you need is 1 street over. As for the house! Everything was clean and comfy. Very homelike. The blackout curtains did their job! I LOVED the vintage kitchen cabinetry! I only used the br with the queen bed and it was awesome having the lovely 1/2 bath a few steps away. Lots of extras to be able to make daily meals after a trip to HyVee! Great job, Matt & Steph! I hope to visit again. -jg, Peanut Butter, and Chicken Noodle from Massachusetts
