Recently renovated, waterfront private house which consists of five bedrooms, 3400 sq ft of living space, room to comfortably sleep up to 18 people, a large deck with an intimate third-story deck both looking on to the beach, a walk out patio steps from the sand and water, all nestled in a peaceful neighborhood, away from the hustle & bustle of the busy city, but only a 10 minute drive in to Omaha. Perfect for swimming, fishing or catching some rays on the beach or cooling off in the lake on your floaties. The lake frontage will also provide the most beautiful sunsets, especially when set behind a waterfront fire pit blaze with your favorite beverage in hand. Private walking trails close by, game room, and more! The options to stay as busy or lazy as you want are endless.

Loved it! Perfect!

The house was great! It was able to accommodate all of us to gathered in Omaha for a weeklong meeting. Loved the open concept kitchen/dinning! When you needed to have time to yourself you could go to your bedroom (which was on a separate floor) and could not hear a thing! You couldn’t even hear anything from those in the bedroom next to you! Each room had a tv which was awesome. Would definitely book again!!!!!!!

Thanksgiving stay

Beautiful location. Good sized home that could use some work on the outside. The only issues on the inside was the master shower did not turn on . Be advised that you need your own streaming service to watch network television.

Beautiful and relaxing

Beautiful, clean and modern home with a beach. Listing has been updated so that it is accurate. At my time of booking the lake was more available, however that changed. Kitchen is well stocked. A small hand mixer would be a nice addition as well as a couple containers with lids. Very close to the city, but when you are there you feel completely remote.

As the owners have said, a work in progress. Plumbing issue did not allow us to use whirlpool tub, had to watch for splinters on deck, but children had a great time in the sand, fishing, on Maui Mat. Overall we made things work and had a good weekend.

Beautiful home

The house is beautiful and on a quiet street. The amenities were good and very nice deck and beach area. There were a lot of rooms/very nice beds to accommodate a lot of people.

Family vacation

The home was very nice and worked well for our family vacation. Nice sandy beach. Just a note we were unable to ride our paddleboards or personal kayaks- private lake that we did not know about when booking this. Disappointed with this.

Family Vacation

We stayed at this property for a family vacation. The house was clean, comfortable and the views were beautiful. We spent time enjoying the beach and playing games. The hosts were very helpful and responded quickly. We would definitely stay here again!

Omaha family reunion

This was the perfect house for us. It was my husband and me, and the families of our three daughters… eight adults and eight grandkids (ages four months to 13YO.) The kitchen was well equipped and large for multiple cooks, there was plenty of table spaces for meals, multiple gathering and play spaces, a great deck and patio, and the lake was great! The kids loved swimming. It could not have been more perfect and we plan to return.

Family Gathering

The property was spacious and we could not believe all the amenities that were provided. My family used this location as a home base as we were all from out of state and came to bury the ashes of our parents/grandparents. The host was very prompt and accommodating with all questions we had through email. Check-in and check-out was very easy. Wonderful stay!

Served the purpose

Stayed with sisters and their families for a local wedding. Water was good to keep the kids busy and disappointed we could not use water toys as advertised but understand that situation sounded fluid with previous renters spoiling the opportunity. House was remodeled and updated although still needs improvement with landscaping and cutting grass etc .

Perfect Get-Away!!!

We could not have been any more pleased with our time at Sandy Bottoms! It was a perfect spot for our family to connect. We chose to stay put and enjoy the sun and the sand. We were thrilled with the outdoor provisions in terms of water play - enough sun for those who want sun and a great deal of shade for those who need to avoid the sun. Communication was excellent between the host and guests, answering us within minutes. The inside space is exceptional, nicely updated and perfect for our group of 12. We also appreciated the attention to guests in terms of welcoming us with coffee availability throughout the home and the added provisions in the bathrooms. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

Memorable Family Event

We wanted an outing to celebrate a 70th grampa birthday AND a 51st wedding anniversary for gramma and that grampa. We had to accommodate a Colorado family (trying to save them some driving distance) and a Des Moines family that would leave after our event to travel to Idaho to see the other gramma and grampa. Our search led us to this Papillion, NE listing with a big enough house for all of our families AND fun water activities. We were pleasantly surprised there was a lake and sandy beach right out the back door. It was the perfect house and setting for our 3 day celebration. Everyone loved the water and kayaks, paddle board, peddle boat and the big floating water mat. Some of the cousins could bunk together and we had more than enough room. There were a couple of minor issues, but our hosts were ready to help solve them.
