This is a great way to mix a little getaway without being completely away from civilization. The cabin has so much space for the price, and the wifi is great (which is excellent bc zero service in that spot ha). There are enough woods to walk around, but not so much you get lost. I liked that we could get to Cullman pretty quickly and also escape back to our spot in an instant. The “waterfall” was a nice touch to listen to in the peace of the night.
Could’ve ask for a better place to be in Cullman with all the Christmas activities! Walking around the property to the covered bridge and waterfall took lots of pictures!
We had a great stay at the cabin. Loved the location and property and proximity to town. Great place for a family or small group of friends. Only complaint was the beds were a lil uncomfortable and water pressure was low. Outside of that, two thumbs up!
Overall, location and arrangements were great. We all loved the stay and the scenery was picturesque. Would recommend a few updates (cutting board, iron/ironing board, newer mattress, a little better water pressure). But accessibility was good, wi-fi was great and AC worked like a champ. Recommend for families and small groups!
We were in town to spend Independence Day with family at Smith Lake and Cullman, and the cabin was located within a decent commute of both. We absolutely love the park it’s located in. The waterfall was dry because it’s summer but that didn’t take away too much from our stay. Since it’s a public park I definitely recommend keeping the blinds closed for privacy.
We didn’t use the kitchen a whole lot. It’s not the most well stocked kitchen but it was adequate for us for the most part. All the bedrooms are the same size just about, with the same bed and the same tv but each room has its own view/bonus with the exception of one. One bed (the master) had no support in the center so I was plastered against my hubby the whole night and didn’t get the greatest sleep but it’s probably just fine for one person I would think. There were no complaints from others about the other two beds. The bathrooms are big and the hot water is great. The bathrooms have way more than enough toilet paper which is rare and we totally appreciate that! The towels are fluffy and soft and there were plenty for 5 people for 3 nights.
We will absolutely return to this property in the future! The host is extremely fast to respond to any questions and she was also very accommodating.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Few improvements needed.
The beds were not made covers in the corner of the rooms . Was not sure they had been washed.
Towels where laying in front of washer not sure they at been washed either. I washed them my self that night.
The steps going up to the cabin could use hand rails to be saver.
I was not given clear instructions on the code to the front door. Had to contact Vrbo to get access.
The stay was very enjoyable and the area around the cabin was wonderful.
I will stay again.
Thank you
From the reservation to the check-out we could not have asked for an easier process. Brittney was very pleasant and responded to all of our texts very promptly. The cabin and surroundings were very clean and well maintained. We will definitely be coming back! It was a great getaway and not very far from home.
It was so clean and a perfect location to town.. my boys fished walked the trails and just sat on the porch.. we had a wonderful time. The only thing you need to be prepared for is the tourist They will be walking around the cabin looking in windows. The house is clearly marked that says private property so no fault of the host. it was the best experience
Great gathering place for family. Clean and roomy house. Fun hiking and playing in the water for all ages. AC was nice and cool. Easy to ask questions of host. Hope to stay again one day.
My mother grew up in this area, and I thought it would be a nice place for her to stay as well as make it easy for other family to find us. The cabin is very clean (recently updated), well stocked and so comfortable. We had older family members come and visit, and they had no trouble getting into the cabin. It's the perfect size and there was enough space within the cabin to move around and not totally feel on top of one another. The sound of the waterfall at night is so relaxing that you can't help but get a great nights sleep. The property host is Brittney, and she is superb! I want to add her to my Christmas card list, that's how great she is. She is so helpful and responded to all my questions very quickly. Brittney went so far as to make sure the air conditioner was on, and the house was cool, so my mom did not get over heated when we arrived. She really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. My mom did not want to leave, she is already planning another trip for next year and we are already planning on our 2nd stay at this beautiful cabin.
We came in for a track meet and found this sweet hidden gem! Semi-private (public historic monument on the property) with absolutely stunning nature surrounding the property. The cabin was clean, and stocked (bring a hair dryer), and comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay, even though we were not there much:( Nothing negative to say about this place!
This place was great! The only negative things were that the beds are a little uncomfortable, and there isn't a lot of privacy, but other than that, it was wonderful!!! <3 Thank you for a FUN, FUN, AMZING weekend!
The outdoor space was a 10 out of 10! This rustic cabin sit on a beautiful historic site. Be prepared for visitors walking the property. No one bothered us but remember you are staying at a local attraction. The inside appeared to be recently remodeled and was cozy. My only complaint is that the kitchen wasn’t properly stocked to cook meals. If you enjoy nature check this place out!
This property is wonderful! Recently updated interior. Beautiful views. My boys enjoyed fishing, so don’t forget the fishing poles. Groceries nearby. Views are like something from a fairytale. Thank you!!
