About this property

Writer's Retreat: Think and rest in nature in the middle of Austin.

It's rare to find a place that's both historic and one-of-a-kind. We rebuilt parts of the original home into a small one bedroom, one bath home and repurposed the well house into a dreamy writing workspace for writing. Two separate structures separate work space and rest space. But the work space includes a massage chair for breaks and a kitchenette.

Hidden gem that I want to keep a secret

This property was simply breathtaking, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. It's secretly nestled in a spot where you'd never expect anything to be there, but then opens up into a park-like atmosphere with towering but well manicured trees, and right on a charming little creek. There are multiple outdoor seating areas, and I spent hours just sitting on the deck, getting work done on my computer, and enjoying the luscious scenery. It was therapeutic with the fresh air, birds singing, and creek flowing. If that wasn't enough, then I'll add that the hosts were unbelievably accommodating, responsive, and helpful. And they weren't just great hosts, but genuinely good people as well. Anyhow, if you don't need a lot of indoor space, then you should definitely book this place. Just don't do it when I come back out haha!
