We relaxed and enjoyed our time at your house. This was our second time and your place, decor and hospitality makes us from the first moments feel like we are in our home away from home. Thanks
The property was very clean in a beautiful and peaceful location. The rooms were just the right size for the two of us with our two small dogs. The furniture was stylish and very comfortable especially in the main bedroom. The home was just a 10 minute walk to the beach which was not crowded with clean sand.
Enjoyed the spacious bedroom with artsy chic vibe. great kitchen for making breakfast and extra bed. We could see the ocean in the distance which was relaxing. We had a fun time enjoying s'mores with their firepit too.
My son and I stayed two nights while visiting family in Santa Cruz and Watsonville. The space was lovely. It was very clean, well funrnished and filled with art. The hosts had thought of everything. We appreciated the notebook with directions to the beach, suggests of local walks and restaurtants.
The owner was amazing to work with and communicate with. This gave us just enough space to spread out for the little bit of time we weren’t “seeing” California or on the beach.
Master bedroom is spacious and kitchen is well equipped
Unique and comfy home; cleverly decorated. Beautiful surroundings and quiet at night. The ability to walk to an uncrowded beach was great. We hiked at Nisene Marks and Fort Ord Dunes State Parks. We ate at Jalisco and Sukho Thai in Watsonville, and Dharma's (vegetarian comfort food) in nearby Capitola, and sampled local Craft beer at Fruition, Corralitos, and Beer Mule. Spent a day in San Juan Bautista--don't miss Bear's Hideaway, where you can enjoy wine, beer, and/or a cigar on the patio.
We had a wonderful time here. The place had all the amenities that we could ask for and it was very clean. The host was very communicative and accommodating. We had a wonderful time.
only one small quibble was that it was listed as a two bedroom but one bedroom didn’t have a door on it, (it was adjacent to the living room) which didn’t prove to be a big issue.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Hopefully we will get a chance to return at some point.
Excellent place and host. The unit was the right size for our small family with easy walking access down to the beach. We stayed four nights and the kids didn’t want to leave. Perfect proximity to Santa Cruz and Monterey with many places between. Mark was very accommodating and responsive, super host.
We had a great stay in La Selva Beach. The property is just as described. Hosts were very prompt with responses. The beach is walking distance.
It is a lovely quiet neighborhood and perfect for a relaxing getaway.
Beautiful serene and peaceful setting. Easy access to the beach.
Easy communication with the host.
Loved all of the wildlife. Very comfortable and spacious. For us, the only challenge was the tub shower. A bar handle would be helpful
Great place to relax and enjoy the beach, forest and wildlife
We had a wonderful time and felt from the first moment right at home. Our dogs and kids had lots of outdoor space to explore and the interior of the house is decorated with beautiful art pieces, furniture, comfortable beds, welcoming binder, welcoming gift of making your own smores, and the kitchen had everything to make any dinner and my son even baked a cake. The host was for any questions available and this will be not our last time at La Selva Beach.
We had a great experience here! For me, it was a teenage boy and dog summer vacation. For those familiar with the area, it's between La Selva Beach and Watsonville. Very away from it all, quiet, restful. The walk to the beach is very doable. Everything we needed was there. The owner checks in to make sure, and was so helpful when we had a flat tire and needed to find a place to fix it. It's exactly "as advertised" and I highly recommend it here! Enjoy!
The moment I pulled up to the home I was impressed with the landscaping and it only got better from there. The interior is artfully decorated, and gives you a warm, comfortable, at home feeling. The pictures do not do this home justice. It was also perfectly located for a lovely walk to the ocean with access to the beach. I also had the privilege of meeting Lisa and Mark my hosts and found them very pleasant. I definitely hope to stay here again. I should mention that I traveled to this area with my Search and Rescue K9 For training. Lots of space for him to run around in and it’s far from any traffic. Brody gives it four paws And I give it an 11 out of 10!!!
We had the absolute best stay in La Selva Beach.
This sunny house was so lovely, with gorgeous garden views from every window. We loved the peacefulness of the property and the nice easy walk to the beach. We had more than enough room to spread out and enjoy ourselves. The map to the beach and the personalized welcome binder were a nice touch!
Loved the art, the welcome snacks, and the fire pit. During this trip we spotted several rabbits, lots of squirrels and a variety of birds. Coffee in the chairs on the front porch surrounded by blooming succulents—a real highlight!
I know we can’t give credit to the hosts for this, but we also had the nicest beach weather. Can’t wait to come back to this property for a relaxing respite.
What a beautiful home! When we walked in the door, everything looked right out of a magazine and it smelled so clean and fresh. The walls are full of the most beautiful paintings that I learned were painted by one of the owners! Everything was very comfortable and the place had everything we needed. It is so nice to not have to bring our own towels. They even provided shampoo, conditioner, and soap for the shower. We enjoyed playing darts outside in the gorgeous yard. Communication was excellent! I had to reach out with a couple questions and the owner replied quickly and was very friendly. From the porch we saw about ten wild turkeys one morning and 8 deer in a group another morning. The walk to the beach took us about 15 minutes, but we stopped to look at all the plants and trees along the way. The location is great, only about ten minutes from grocery stores, restaurants, and more. And they are dog friendly which is a must when we travel. I highly recommend you stay at this wonderful beach cottage!
The stay was good over all. However, it was not entirely clear that this was basically a basement built out. The large bedroom was large and bed comfy. The second room had no door and was part of the eating area. Kitchen was well stocked and very clean. Lots of cute things around. Darts and corn holed were a nice treat. Sitting outside was really nice. Glimpse of water. The soaps were very nice and snacks abundant. The biggest problem was hearing very loud stomping at 11:00 at night and exactly 6:30am. No way we got any sleep. Lastly, we were very far from the water. Walking down was possible but you had to hike downhill a long way.
