Family winter paradise
Enjoyed a beautiful stay in this home close to several ski slopes. A short walk to resort amenities and dining. The house was absolutely perfect and comfortable for our family to hang out for dinner and to play games, but also plenty of places to spread out and get away. Views out every window were incredible! 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Good stay in solitude.
Good stay. The messaging could’ve been a little better to check in. There was a little miscommunication with what doors would be unlocked and how to get the keys. The host had my wife’s contact but not mine and it took some time to reach them on the app messaging system. We did finally get it worked out and the host was very helpful and accommodating.

Not up to expectations
This wasn’t up to our normal expectations. Poorly stocked: not enough toilet paper, towels; no measuring cups; no KleenexInfo: lack of a normal binder of info; had to search for the keycardHouse: lack of dressers, luggage racks; home in disrepair: smoke detectors down, non-working thermostatsLocation: definitely not ski-in/ski-out..a 15 minute walk up and down a steep road to slopes and hot tub

Pros and Cons
The pictures were accurate and the place was clean. The kitchen is very poorly stocked for cooking, like no measuring cups or spoons, no mixer, no mixing bowls, no serving dishes, very little to use. The parking is very difficult. Unless you have two small cars expect to pay an extra 50 per night to park overnight. And the extra parking is at the bottom of a steep hill, it’s not convenient. The heating situation is a joke, they posted signs on every heater to not exceed 50 degrees, but that is not warm enough. One of the heater in the up stairs bathroom doesn’t work. The furniture isn’t comfortable for a large group. None of the bathroom doors lock. If they spent a money of small repairs, some nicer furniture, and kitchen amenities it would be a much better stay.

Family Snowboarding Trip
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Solitude! We went up on a Wednesday evening and spent Thursday and Friday snowboarding. It was so convenient to be able to stay right there at the resort! The accommodations were great and were very well represented in the description. The hosts were very responsive and we felt like they went above and beyond to accommodate us and help us to have a wonderful family vacation!

Great views, but not easy to get to Apex
The views from the unit are incredible! While the unit is technically in the resort, it's a "hike" to the lifts which involves a rather long and “exciting” walk down the street (street can be slippery if there is any precipitation), to the village, then back through the village to the Apex lift. The walk back is then mostly uphill so make sure you save lots of strength saved up as it is not for the faint of heart (the listing says 7 minutes, but I assume that is not carrying ski equipment). The same holds true for the hot tub and other Club Solitude amenities. While the listing makes it seem likes its right there, it takes quite an effort to hike to use these. The front door to the unit which has the bench to put on and remove ski boots, etc., is unusable as the front deck and walkway are not shoveled. Basics like toilet paper, paper towels, soap for bathrooms, sponges, etc. were not there so make sure you bring the necessities when you drive up the canyon. The basic starter stuff you expect when you rent a place were non-existent. The unit was fairly clean when we arrived. There are plenty of light switches, but either the lights don't work or no one can climb up to replace the bulbs. The kitchen is fairly well appointed, but lacks measuring spoons (paper towels and sponge). The seating is ok, but the living area sofa and chair are not really supportive for a large group. A decent place, but the attention to detail by the site manager and cleaner leaves a lot to be desired.

Have had better VRBO experiences
Property is located a good walk to lift access. We rented this for the ski experience and split this trip with another property. This property was not nearly as supplied and customer service not great. I requested toilet paper 3 times and was essentially ignored. This is not a 5 star property.

Great place
Three level condo with individual living space on each floor is very convenient for a multi-family situation. Views are excellent of the mountain and convenience to lift was great. Unfortunately, unable to keep the snow cleared behind which made access somewhat difficult in the feet of snow. Would be great if that could be snow, blown and cleaned out for east of access. Otherwise everything worked as it was supposed to on the trip. Would recommend no more than two cars as driveway is small.

listing could have been more accurate. Says 1 minute walk to Solitude lifts. If was a 5+ minute walk up a large hill. with skis and in ski boots, that's not an easy walk. Should be more specific in the listing

Solitude Ski Stay
We loved the location of this house! It was in the village so we had a short walk to restaurants, rentals, ski lift, and club solitude. Access to club solitude was easy and had great amenities. The house was well stocked with cozy linen and beds. We cooked several meals and had everything we needed. Instacart delivered the groceries and mountainsidesitters babysat the kids while we went down the slopes. The mountain was very kid friendly. The kids did a combination of ski school and babysitter (3 years old). Just a few lessons and they were coming down the green by themselves. Club solitude had an entire kid room with toys and games to make entertaining little kids/toddlers easy.

Delightful spot, though some surprises
First, the great: Solitude is such a fun mountain, and this spot fit a large group of us really nicely, all within a short walk to the lifts. The living room + kitchen is beautiful, incredible views, lots of light. The bummers: the hot tub shouldn't be included in this listing -- it's a very long walk and part of a different location. We looked once on the way back from skiing and it was packed with residents of that location. We never found a grill, though maybe it's by the hot tub (again, down in the village and far from the unit. The kitchen was hilariously poorly appointed: not a single measuring spoon for example, one measuring cup with all of the measurements rubbed off. Every thermostat had a warning that you couldn't turn it up above 50. Overall, gave off the vibe that no one has ever lived here. Communication was tough -- I tried calling the phone line many times and only one time got an answer during the listed hours. VRBO messaging worked well, but it was a different person each time. Hopefully by the time some of this has been resolved. If so, recommended! We're definitely excited to return to solitude at some point.
