Clean, spacious house. We had 4 adults and 2 kids staying but the place could easily fit more people. Close to the beach and stores. We were very happy with our stay.
House was everything we needed for our weekend RZR riding! Loved having a garage to keep the machines in at night! And having a washer and dryer allows us to pack light! Straight shot to and from the trails!
Shawn was great to work with. House was clean and perfect size for a long weekend of trail riding. Plenty of driveway space for truck, trailer, and side by side. Restaurants close as well a gas station.
Very nice place, has some street appeal. Quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed the deer and fawns going through in morning and evening. Didn't use upstairs bedroom since it was just my wife and I. Close to town, could walk to convenience store and market was only a little farther then that. Sam's is a great place to have breakfast. Gas at grocery was a dime cheaper then other stations in town. All utensils available, washer and dryer were a nice addition. Was surprised that grill was clean and new, well kept. Overall we were able to relax and enjoy the place.
I had a great time but, deer just did not cooperate with my hunting them lol. found out cabin did not have a supply of trash bags of any kind or size. which was no Biggy as trash bags are cheap. Also, cabin has no toilet plunger, but Dollar General just down the road had them, also found out toilet hold down bolts were loose on left side, but found no leaks at toilet base. Furnace works great, but is hard to regulate. had it at lowest setting, but still too hot, kept back door open a little bit part of the time. but over all it is a great place to stay with a lot of parking for boat or ATV. yes i would stay again. has a lot of room for a party of 6-8 .
Had a death in my family. Tried to contact this property owner multiple times before my rental with no reply. All I wanted to do was change my dates. Then after my rental still no contact so I call Vrbo customer support. 4 weeks later I still haven’t heard back from anybody. At this point all I really wanted was some acknowledgment.SMH
This cottage had lots of room and a nice yard for the dogs. There was a small gap in the fence but we had a moveable fence we brought with us that filled the spot easily! We enjoyed our stay and this was a good location in between Houghton Lake (love Buccilli's Pizza) and Higgins Lake (Beechwood is a nice new brunch place). The frig made weird noises like an alarm but still seemed to function fine. We will stay here again if we are in the area. Thanks!
Our stay was fantastic! House was clean and comfortable. We took our boat and our young adult kids drove themselves and there was plenty of space to park in the driveway (even with visitors from downstate). The outdoor space was very much enjoyed. Nice deck with a good sized fairly private backyard. We brought our corn home boards so perfect. Really enjoyed having the large grill available. We fished the lake everyday and caught over 300 fishes combined (did not keep any, cleaning fish is not a vacation for mom). Would absolutely book for next summer!
The house is a bit dated but price was ok for our stay, it is located in a cottage type fixer up Nabor hood. We felt safe there and we even left our Boat there a few days to explore and every was ok. House was comfortable despite only having a widow AC unit upstairs. We opened windows at night and closed them through the day and house temperature was fine. It has a fully Working kitchen refrigerator was cold and all appliances worked. We used the nice grill on the deck for a few meals. The driveway concrete and is long and wide, it was great to park our large boat and truck there. There would be plenty of extra room for more cars if we had them. Overall good house for a fair price. We would come back for future stays.
