Sleeper sofa in the living room, and 2 additional reclining couches. Large fully supplied kitchen with cookware to save you the cost of eating out! Maps of our walking trails, nearby firepit location, and fishing ponds. (Bring your own poles & tackle box) We provide 4 extra bag chairs for your outside adventures while there. Cabins boast a large covered front porch with rocking chairs to enjoy the beautiful Kansas sunset. Spacious back deck with a gas grill. Relax on 40 acres of privacy. We originally built with hunters in mind so there's no lace or frou-frou anywhere although wedding parties utilize us regularly. Your pets are welcome. We're very faith and family-focused owners.
This 1800 sq. ft. cabin is located four minutes from town. n Clay Center, families will enjoy a water park, our award-winning zoo, or various unique parks. Go downtown to sip a craft beer, stop by the popular bakery, grab a specialty coffee at Java Junkies or a smoothie at Happy Hippy. Find treasures at quaint shops. We're known in KS for our 40+ murals recently painted in the last few years and have a "mural walk" complete with a map. Fall provides several local pumpkin farms and an excellent Farmer's Market on Saturdays at the town square. We are 20 minutes from Milford Reservoir with lots of boating and fishing.
Plenty of room to park your RVs, trailers, and large vehicles. It's fine for our hunters to dress your own deer on site. We have a skeet shoot area and if you contact us prior, we can set up a shooting appointment if you bring your own guns. Bring the bicycles, your side-by-side, a hammock, or your river kayak. Star gaze or use the firepit for s'mores and stories. We are sharing this property with you to make some of your own...life's finer moments.

We’re the Cotts. We farm together and we built Life’s Finer Moments in 2012. Hunters come to enjoy midwest hunting on our land. Our outfitter suggested we build a facility so when extended families came along, they’d have a large space to be together in. Kitchens, bedrooms, showers, a fireplace, etc. immediately became important. As planning progressed and our hospitality passion wasn’t forgotten, we morphed into a facility the community could use as well. From there, we decided the overnight accommodations needed to be separate, therefore, the cabins were constructed. It was truly a family project. Our older kids helped stain nearly every board inside and out. All have worked many hours there in various capacities. Guests utilize the venue for reunions, showers, corporate meetings, parties, ministry, private large BBQs, hayrack rides, a dinner theater, concerts, a giant “house” for weekend family gatherings, and weddings immediately rose to the top of the list.

The property consists of 40 acres with an event venue and several cabins. There’s easy access to regularly mowed walking trails, fishing ponds, a blue rock shooting area, a large firepit, and lots of privacy. We are often asked when we’ll build more cabins so retreat groups have enough beds. For hunters, Kansas offers the best hunting in the country so we are proud to host new as well as many returning faces each different hunting season. The best part of our job is meeting the people, hearing their stories, and discover what brought them to our little part of the world. Hearing how someone hadn’t seen the stars so clearly before or experienced such a breathtaking sunset just gives us joy.

Our priorities include our personal growth in faith and the development of exceptional relationships within our family, with employees, and with customers.

It is our top desire to provide an affordable and family-friendly atmosphere that creates some of your --life’s finer moments.

Why they chose this property

We built an event venue on some of our farmland and needed accompanying cabins for overnight accommodations. So we built the cabins as well within a year. Cabins can be used in conjunction with events or reserved separately.

What makes this property unique

We are farmers in a rural setting. You'll see cattle, wild turkey, deer, seasonal implements such as tractors and combines, and a gorgeous sunset with starry skies to follow. You can enjoy a retreat by yourself, book a weekend with your gal pals, the buddies to play poker or have family bonding time. We're a bridesmaid prep home, a prayer retreat, a honeymoon hide-out, or a ball tournament BBQ cabin. We are all about creating memories for you. The firepit is for YOU, the trails are for YOU, the quietness is to enjoy and YOU are the priority.
