The most perfect Christmas

From the time we showed up to the time we left this trip was perfection. This was due to the property we stayed in. This house was absolutely immaculate and the perfect size for several family members and dog friendly.. The view was perfect of the Blue Ridge Mountains.. The fireplaces were so quaint and the outside area was great to sit outside or walk around a bit.. the neighborhood was as nice as it gets and we look forward to staying again next year.

Picturesque Views with a Cozy Atmosphere

We were near the top of the mountain, a 15 min drive minimum from the main entrance. Pros: 1. Beautiful scenery, great location, cozy spaces. Lots of games. Adequate kitchen appliances Cons: 1. No garage, places in the past have a garage for your gear, rain, or snowy conditions. 2. The fireplace on the balcony is gas but requires firewood; none provided and not mentioned prior to arrival for us to bring or purchase. 3. The foolsball table and "kid area" is upstairs, w/ small overlooking balcony -would've preferred a lower level area or "kid play room". Needless to say the kids enjoyed it, however, it became quite noisy and difficult for the adults to chat or watch a movie. 4. Our 2 year old locked the bathroom door upstairs; I contacted the property manager, who replied saying someone would be by to assist, no one ever came! For the remainder of our stay we had to share a bathroom with the kids! 5. Dusty headboards in the rooms w/ big beds and we were asked to keep the sheets on the bed (very odd considering most places request you strip the beds and place the linens near the washer)... I felt uncomfortable after receiving the checkout instructions because it made me question if our sheets were clean considering the accumulation of dust on the headboards. For these reasons I choose notOverall: Beautiful property, quick response. We all had a great time, plan to visit again but try another house next time.
