About this property
Cabin with breathtaking views of the mountain
The log cabins are some of the most beloved accommodations at the Lake Lauderdale Campground because they offer a bit of privacy and comfort for your family while still being “no-frills” (there are no bathrooms in the cabins, however, there is a wash house short walking distance located nearby). If you have any “reluctant campers,” in your family, this might be a nice compromise.

The listing is totally misleading!! It says there is 1 bathroom ..the bathroom is not in cabin it is in a bathhouse you have to walk a ways to over rocky terrain. Additionally, the camp director upon check in asked if we had brought our own linens..we told her no..there is nothing saying anything about that. She said she’d get us some. She was very accommodating but in the end we said we needed something else because that won’t work. She gave us this tv in the back of the campground, it had an inside shower/bath but the heat was out of propane. At this point I am concerned about the accuracy of listings on VRBO

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
The Library was a nice touch as well as the game room.
I will not book with Vrbo again because I had to pay all these extra fees if I had known, I could’ve just booked on the site itself. I would’ve had all the correct information about the place and not been charged extra fees! Lesson learned!
We had a great stay! The owner Mark was great with communication upon booking. Greeted us upon arrival, showed us to the cabin, and pointed out where facilities were located. Campground host Marianne was also welcoming- a genuinely kind and friendly person! The cabin was just about perfect. Full bed and twin bunk bed on the main floor, and full bed in loft. Air conditioning kept the cabin quite cool in 90 degree heat and high humidity. Private gas grill, picnic table, and fire pit outside. TV with cable was a bonus when the rains came through and on the second night. Small table and chairs inside for sitting, and mini fridge for refrigerating essentials. Short walk to the bathroom/ shower facility. The only drawback to our stay was the limited cell and Wi-Fi service. My cell read “SOS only” for most of the stay- no ability for calls or texts. Limited cell service through the region actually. With a teen back home alone, we drove into Salem repeatedly to make calls and send texts to check in. Part of that issue is on us though, as we didn’t realize Wi-Fi was available at the campground’s community building until the morning we left. That community room/ rec room is spacious, comfortable, and has a small store inside with essentials available for purchase- wish we had strolled around and checked that out sooner!
We really enjoyed our time at Lake Lauderdale Campground! Thank you to Mark, Marianne, and the seasonal campers we met- all were friendly and welcoming.
