First Smoky Mountain Trip

We chose this cabin for our family getaway. Cabin was clean & cozy. All instructions were clear and easy to follow for cabin care. Was not expecting the winding, steep drive to the cabin but we were in the mountains afterall.

Wonderful spot way back in the mountains

If you are wanting to be in nature this is the spot for you. The house was perfect for our group of adults and teens. We enjoyed the fire pit, grill , hot tub, and even got a visit from a bear ! Beautiful home and well stocked for our needs

Family Gathering

We loved the cabin and wished we had time to take advantage of all of the amenities. The cabin is up a pretty steep hill and is pretty secluded vs. Your normal neighborhood cabin, which was nice. The views are amazing!

Awesome cabin

Cabin was perfect for us. We had 2 families with a total of 11 people. Roomy, clean, great location. The only issue we had was the free tickets to attractions. You only get 1 free ticket per attraction per day, and you can’t combine them. With 11 people we only got 1 free ticket to enter. Other than the misleading free tickets it was a nice place.

Mountain Getaway

Property was beautiful and in nice condition, loved the layout of the house. Walk out basement a bonus. Driveway was really steep, dont think its accessible in snow. Had a nice big yard and fire pit area. Nice garages but no access. If you like to see bears regularly its a good pick. Do not recommend using grill unless you clean it right after using to prevent bears from coming and wrecking it.

Perfect for nature lovers

We enjoyed our stay. If you love nature this is the place for you. We saw bears daily and many other forest creatures. The house was clean and the perfect fit for our party of 11. The reason I gave a 4 star is because we were inconvenienced due to maintenance leaving the breakers off for the water, while fixing another issue. Not having access to the panel to switch the breaker ourselves left us putting our kids to bed dirty after 6 hours at the water park. The listing for travel times, during our booking, to popular destinations was not accurate. It takes at least 20 minutes just to get down the mountain. It looks like the listing has been undated with more accurate travel times so that is nice. Even with those inconveniences, I would still recommend as we did enjoy our stay and understand things do happen.

Don’t recommend

I don’t recommend this property unless you like a 15 minute drive up a steep mountain, dog pee stained curtains, slow Wi-Fi, and light malfunctions. Also, whoever I spoke with on the phone when I was getting information about check in told me to “just shutup”. The hot tub is very dated and has a mildew smell to it, there were no cooking utensils, not even a cheap spatula to flip over a pancake. The mattresses were very soft, we weren’t able to get any sleep hardly without having back pain. Main floor shower desperately needs cleaned. Upon arrival the air was set to 75, which was so hot and it took it forever to cool off, the whole week the cabin stayed too warm no matter what the temperature setting was on. The listing also says secluded, it’s not. There are cabins above you, to the side they are building one, which is very unpleasant to hear first thing in the morning. There is also another cabin at the bottom of the drive way. Also, good luck getting into the driveway because the construction workers will have it blocked. Only good thing I have to say about this place is it’s very beautiful and we enjoyed the visits from the bear. With the proper cleaning, proper management, and proper listing, this place could be nice.
