Our stay was great! Favorite thing about Don's place was its central location to everything we were wanting to do which included: Floating the Buffalo River (mid and lower section, but also close to the upper), visit eureka springs, and hike. The cabin is very quiet and peaceful.
This was our second time staying here, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The cabin is very private and peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. It’s just minutes from the beautiful Buffalo River, which makes it ideal for exploring the outdoors. Our host was amazing and made sure the cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!
Perfect cabin for a group of guys to kayak the Buffalo river. Proximity was perfect for launch and take out points and Harps a great grocery store was just down the road. The cabin had supplies for us to cook breakfast and supper, to wash wet clothes etc. Perfect setup for us!
My family of six really enjoyed this cabin. Our kids' age range are from 1 year to 9 years old and it worked great. The owner communicates well, and the property is well equipped and peaceful. The top bedroom has an outside lock for my boys to keep them from trying to come downstairs in the middle of the night as the stairs/ladder is steep. The cabin is just a bit off the main highway and relatively close to several nice swimming areas (stay was in early July) as well as easy driving distance into Jasper. We would definitely stay here again if we came back to this area.
This was such a great little cabin! It was perfect for us and so clean. I would definitely recommend staying here. Our host was great and he made sure that everything was well stocked and gave great tips on things that we could do in the area.
Great little secluded cabin with location ideal for floating the Buffalo River. Check in process was very easy and we appreciated all of Don suggestions and recommendations.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Plenty of privacy full of peace and quiet. Super close to the town of Jasper and the Buffalo River. We really loved getting away here for a few days and will definitely be back!
This cabin was perfect for our family! It was very neat and clean and the kids loved the loft area. Everything we could have needed was included. The location was very convenient to Jasper and several local hiking trails. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
The cabin was comfortable; the surroundings were delightfully isolated. There were plenty of national forest parks close by for hiking and lots of interesting attractions nearby in Jasper, Harrison and Eurika Springs.

Donald was amazing as well as his rental property! The cabin is in a perfect location for water, hiking or just relaxing at the cabin with a warm fire! I can’t think of one thing that I didn’t like about this stay. Could not recommend enough!
This little cabin made the whole trip worth while! It’s perfectly tucked in the woods and has a big yard so the kids could run and play! The inside is very tidy and accommodating. It’s not very far from swimming holes and short hikes.
We had a great experience staying at this cabin. It was peaceful and quiet with no visible neighbors. The cabin was clean and a short drive to a river access point. The owner was communicative and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay with no issues!
I've been coming to Jasper AR for over 25 years now. The area is so beautiful and it makes it even better when you have a nice place to stay. I'm so happy we were able to stay at this lovely cabin. It had all the things we needed and the property manager communicated with us to make sure we had everything we needed. This was our first year taking our baby girl so this place will forever hold a special memory.
Overall stay was great. Host was great at communicating, the cabin was beautiful, the smoker was the perfect addition to the stay, the sights off the deck were great!
I gave a 4 on the listing accuracy. It said it was a 6 minute walk to the river but the drive took us 6 minutes and it would have been a more difficult walk.
This is a great cabin. Close to the highway and easy to find but still secluded. The area is well lit, making it easy to locate at night. Within 5 minutes the kids could be swimming in the Buffalo River and less than 10 minutes away you can be eating a meal in Jasper.
The appliances are all new, the place is spotless, the beds are comfy and the smell of pine just makes it feel so right.
Good directions from the owner and great communication.
We will be back.....hopefully soon.
My husband and I needed one last getaway before school started back(we're both teachers) and this place was perfect! The cabin is fully furnished, bed is amazing, and so is the couch! It's quiet and peaceful. You can hear some road traffic but it wasn't enough to bother us. We sat on the back porch to talk and have coffee. It's all woods, but it's my favorite scenery. Access to a swimming hole at the Buffalo within a couple of miles. We ate at the Low Gap cafe and it was delicious. We will definitely add this to our list of cabins that we will return to!!
Three educators needed an escape as soon as the school year ended - so we booked this cabin so we could float the beautiful Buffalo National River. We hiked, chased waterfalls, and floated the river during our stay. The cabin was exceptionally clean, extremely easy to check in to, and secluded but not soooo far out. There were wonderful little touches like a selection of coffee k-cups and pods for throwing dirty clothes in the wash! Little things that make a big difference to me! Sweet little back porch to drink coffee on, picnic tables and a fire ring outside to enjoy! This would be perfect for a weekend get away with your family or friends. There is only one bathroom with a small shower , but that wasn’t an issue for us. A wonderful place to stay! I would love to go back!!
Good location, spacious parking. Cabin well stocked in kitchen and bathroom.
Quiet and comfortable. Great location to ride motorcycle from.

My name is Donald Carruth and I live in Jackson Louisiana. I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with my family. I have always enjoyed our family's vacation time over the years and wanted to be able to offer a place to guest that they would love and create memories at as well.
Why they chose this property
Jasper Arkansas is a slow behind times small town which creates a perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. I choose this specific property because it's just right off HWY 7 a half mile from the Buffalo River and connects with the Buffalo National Forest. There are no neighbors in sight. Very secluded.
