About this property
We are open for the season !
This property has been in the same family since it was built in 1908. It has a wrap-around porch for relaxing and watching the world go by, or for more privacy a gazebo is available in the gardens. Pearl's Place sits atop the bluff overlooking the Mississippi River in Keokuk's Historic District. Just a short walk to the view of the Dam or a stroll thru history, with the former home of General Samuel Curtis just 1 block away. Restaurants and shopping are within a 3 mile radius. If you prefer to explore we have a lot to look for, Geode, Bald eagles, Indian artifacts or just cool old homes !

About the host
Hosted by Melanie

This is my family home. I have lived around the country most of my life but have returned in retirement. I love restoring my old home and have found new pleasure in creating gardens. You may wonder the grounds and enjoy or pick a fresh salad for dinner.
Why they chose this property
This home sits in what is the Historic District. If you enjoy old homes and History then you will love this neighborhood. And one of the best perks is that the neighbors are nice and very friendly.
What makes this property unique
The house has a name. The Connable-Wells House. The Connable's were a founding family in Keokuk and I being the Great Granddaughter know a lot of Keokuk History if you are ever interested.
