Pros:The cabin is great. Even though there are cabins so short distance away, we have wonderful privacy. The cabin was very clean.
Con: The garbage bin by the front steps was overflowing when we arrived. There were no instructions inside telling us how to deal with garbage and we just took hours with us.
It got a little cool while we were there, and I contacted the owner asking about a blanket. The response was that if it the laundry had been picked up, it would be in the closet. There was a large plastic bag of laundry, but we could not tell if it had been washed or not so we just left it alone.
As I said, the cabin is wonderful. The owner just needs to work on communicating better.
Cavender creek cabins never disappoints. Always clean and comfy, perfect location — mid-way between downtown and the wineries. It has been and will continue to be a staple for our visits!
Overall beautiful location. Nice little cabin. Maintenance needs some work- grill didnt work and AC in the main room was barely working so it was very hot in the main room. Since the grill didn't work cooking made the main house very hot. Hot tub worked decently but half the jets didt work and it smelled fairly bad as if it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. Location was beautiful and close to some great activities in town.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay, it was peaceful and quiet. We never left the cabin all weekend. Everything we needed was provided in the cabin and I brought food for us. We used the grill and it felt like we were at home. We also walked the property and enjoyed the pond. It was nice
We recently enjoyed a three night stay at this quaint, little cabin. It is on the banks of Cavender Creek in a beautiful location. It is conveniently located near Dahlonega but just far out enough to give the feel of a secluded mountain cabin. The cabin was well suppled with the essentials and in a central location for the vineyards and all the other activities in the area. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet and restful mountain getaway.
This was my second time staying here and I love it every time. The location is perfect. It’s close to town and all of the wineries. Anytime I reach out to the host she is always prompt in answering any questions I have.
Cabin was nice and clean and we enjoyed our stay.
Was surprising that there were no paper towels, dishcloths, or dish towels. Also, the showerhead leaks and there were not enough washcloths.
And we never saw a “keypad” for entry and had to use the alternate entry method.
This may already be known but the kitchen table light and bedroom light flicker.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and I only mention these items to improve future bookings.
Loved the place exactly as described. Just a couple things i would add would be steps to get in hot tub, and bigger skillets for cooking. Other than that fantastic place to get away and stay
Property was very clean . The setting was very relaxing and quiet. We walked along the stream and built a fire in the fire ring. The driveway was a little scary the 1st time but i got better once familiarize. Overall all it was a nice stay.
