We were in town for the ASAA state softball tournament. Location was fantastic and property was accurately represented on the website. I would for sure stay here again. Property manager was great to deal with and getting in and out was a breeze.
This was a working family visit and the first floor location was perfect for our needs. We noted an issue that had not previously been reported (kitchen window was not fully shutting and with impending cold weather we thought the landlord should know). It was resolved the morning after our reporting it.
What I expected - nice place to work / operate from
I wanted a place for a two week trip around hotel prices and with a washer and dryer. This place fit the bill for this time of year in Fairbanks. Washer and dryer worked well, manager is pretty responsive and you aren't too far from other places outside of Fairbanks you would want to go.
We were in town for a soccer tournament and hotel lodging was very expensive with a very limited selection. This VRBO unit was just what we needed for accessibility the soccer fields, grocery stores, and restaurants. It wasn’t fancy, but it didn’t need to be because it had all the essentials. We appreciate the hospitality.
We were aware there was no A/C. Not able to open all windows due to no screen or faulty handles. Air movement was needed. It was warm during the day when we were there. It was HOT in the home. The response from the Property Manager was there are "no more screens".
Also, photos did not show damage to bathroom wall or rotten living room window frame.
There was also an issue with caked on dirt and dust in the bathroom exhaust fan.
Unable to shut bedroom door due to previous damage.
The neighborhood was filled with more rundown and abandon homes than livable homes. This issue was made more nerve wracking the fact that the actual door into the home had a repair done to the knob and deadbolt lock which looked to be from an attempted frame break of the door. The home owner provided no key to get into that door. Meaning, you could not lock the door from the outside. There was only a smart lock on the outer door into the breezeway.
