The property is lovely and other than poor lighting and just ok cleaning was fine. The problem began when a slat in the bed broke. I notified the owner and offered to replace and even repaired as it was modular so her next guests would not be inconvenienced. She then sent an additional bill for $900 for the entire bed even though the bed was a modular slat system. She claimed that she would have VRBO pay through damage insurance which I had purchased at the time of reservation. This is like paying for a whole car when a tire has to be replaced. I have screenshots of all conversations and pictures of the bedframe and slats. Worse yet she claimed this happened to another visitor with two slats and she had replaced the entire frame a few months ago so is aware that it is modular. This was in addition to originally quoting one price per night then upon realizing it was a holiday week raised it. To be fair, I agreed to the new price and attributed it to poor business practices. In hindsight it was a red flag. If you rent this property be forewarned and document all conversations and take pictures
My family (2 adults, 1 infant) and friend (1 adult) rented this property while in town for a home game and it was a great stay in one of our favorite areas for a great price. Elora’s home is a special place and reminded us all of our own time living in Eugene and what makes the city so special. The home was well stocked and as cozy as you could hope for. She did a great job setting it up for us to stay despite being her own residence and we appreciated the hospitality and her willingness to open her home to us. I will definitely be reaching out the next time we’re in town to see if this property is available!

Unusual
Our stay was very pleasant. The home is pleasant; the decor is a bit unusual, and the access is on narrow, hilly roads. You would not walk there from the U of O campus. The overall feeling was that the owners were not fully committed to temporary guests.
If you are looking for a perfect girls night away for relaxing & unwinding then this is the spot! I stayed here for the night before my wedding, along with my bridesmaids. We absolutely loved the decor & vibes. Very beautiful home!
It’s a lived-in home as advertised. The photos are accurate. The neighborhood is lovely and the place is shaded by the surrounding trees. The home seemed clean but it was surface-clean (the way you might clean your own house if you didn’t do an in-depth cleaning) and some of the kitchen stuff was all jumbled in the drawers and not the cleanest (one drawer broken). Not enough to bother us though, the bathrooms and living room seemed to be cleaned just fine. The patio furniture is in dire need of repair but the inside furniture is great. Games to play for the family and TV with apps. Just be aware that you won’t have a place to hang your clothes but if you don’t need to unpack your suitcase, this works just fine. We didn’t stay because of an issue (no need to rehash here) but overall for the quality of the rental and the amount of people it sleeps (7), it’s worth considering. One of the kitties came inside to get petted, which the kids loved. While Eugene is not overall a Ritz-Carlton type of town, the neighborhood where this house is located, is amazing and the view is spectacular.
We only stayed one night but we were so comfortable in this sweet house. It is filled with color, artwork, light, and beautiful details everywhere. And so close to great pizza, coffee, ice cream, parks, and the university. Would recommend to anyone needing a spot when visiting campus.
The house was just as described and just as presented in the pictures. Everything was very clean and nice. The host was super helpful and very quick with responding. Overall a great experience for our group!
It was a lovely place to stay. It had a peaceful feel to it. The bed was so comfortable, I didn't want to wake up! We only stayed the one night, but it was a very nice stay. I really loved the beautiful artwork, and the cool bathrooms.
Cute Home with Communicative Owner and Priced Just Right
I needed to drop my bags off early before the Oregon football game and the owner was quick to communicate with me about the early check in process. Every time I messaged her I received a response in less than 24 hours.
The listing was accurate in that this is someone's home. The owner does not stay there when it is rented but there are photographs of the family on the walls and personnel belongings perfectly organized and out of the way. The home was warm and cozy.
The cost of this rental is amazing! You really get a good spot compared to the cost.
Loved the house. Such a great feel. The owner was so nice and accommodating.

I’m a single mother in school for massage. Renting my beautiful home out to get through school. I stay in my tiny home on the lake near cottage grove when you stay in my “big house”. I really appreciate families staying in my home.
Why they chose this property
It’s quiet and the neighbors are nice. Hendrix park is on the backyard and lots of beautiful trees for shade.
